"What the hell is the AA Web Show and why should I care?" Shut your filthy, casual mouth and I will tell you.
The AA Web Show was a project spearheaded by
our own longtime HF member Spectre and taken
over by me about 8 months ago. With three official episodes,
the project fell into inactivity for a multitude of reasons.
Most prominently, scheduling.
In-depth AAWS biography (Click to View)The original idea was the brainchild of Spectre (account closed(I think)) and was hastily produced by a rag tag team of AA posters. The initial "test" video by Spectre and his merry band of idiots was an absolute failure. The video was hosted over Google Hangout with no overlay and no plan. It was just a bunch of weaboo creeps talking vaguely talking about anime and trying to troll each other.
After the first episode the same group (group 1) planned for their next episode. Myself and few others watched this "pilot" episode and gave our....rather rude feedback. Chubaca, I guess the impromptu manager of group 1 came to me and a few other veteran members for help with the show seeing as most of the community disliked their product. He spoke of many future promises and amazing ideas for shows and etc. etc. I said I would help with their show seeing as they could use all the help they could get.
After a few days of hearing jack squat about the show, it became incredibly obvious that they had no idea how to proceed. With management lacking and team members irresponsible, I decided to be a bit more forceful with the project. Myself, Chris (Barrier), Tasemu, DarkShadowz and KinGxKeV basically pried the dying project from Spectre and co.'s incompetent hands and drove it in a more respectable direction. That brings us to the first official episode of the AA Web Show.
The project became inactive after multiple problems with speakers being unable to attend the group project. It became so problematic that the show just never aired, even after multiple attempts, weeks after the last episode was recorded. I see many new faces in the section and a lot of activity spurring my interest in bringing the show back. Many other members have voiced their opinion and wish to see the show continued.
This is where you, the reader, come in. While the old team still stands and some backup speakers are able to fill in once in a while, the show will require a solid group for the show to exceed just a few more episodes. What we need are people who watch, keep up with and are able to discuss anime while speaking clearly and appearing properly on webcam.
Requirements:
You must have reliable internet. The show is live-streamed as well as uploaded to youtube. This means we don't edit our show much and would hate to have a guest disconnect mid-show.
You must have a decent microphone. You wouldn't be much of a guest speaker if none of the viewers can understand your muted garble.
You must have a half-way decent webcam. It doesn't need to be top of the line, but a webcam where we can actually make out a person is necessary.
You must be well versed and up-to-date with anime in general. You don't need to study anime, but if you've only seen Naruto and Bleach, you can stop reading now.
You must be able to manage your own schedule. If your job requires sporadic hours or your mom makes you do your chores during the show, this probably isn't the activity for you.
You must be committed.
If you're interested, please PM me or send me your Skype name. I hope to speak to some of you soon.
Nice to see this coming back. I really enjoyed the first three episodes a lot and many of the repeat speakers really seemed to enjoy it and knew what they were talking about.
I watched all of the three episode ya posted. I really enjoyed it ^-^. I would love to be in it but it require you to show your face but I can't show my face cause I'm apart of the anbu black ops.
I got a few questions: Do we have to show our face? Can wear a ambu black ops mask? Can I dress up as a anime character in the webshow? Pretty much all my question I have. But I hope to see the next show ^-^

No, you're a f4g. Show your actual face or dress up like something that doesn't blow mad cock.
