Uninstall Tracer

Its not really a finished product however im pretty sure you encountered a case where you want to uninstall
a certain software or application thats been on your system for ages and serves no more purpose.
Now windows has a nice function to take care of the uninstall process, only if, that coder took the effort to
write a proper uninstall extension to his work.

It happens in my case time to time that windows uninstall feature cannot be of service to me simply because
the uninstall path or file is not there or missing.
Now the uninstall feature in windows does NOT show you where it looks or executes the register values.
And i do not want to start searching the register, becuase thats a pain in the ass.
So i wrote this application to make a tracer that looks for 3 ways to identify it
by scanning the register entry to make a simple match for either the icon/exe/uninstaller.
(app icons usually resides in the exe or folder so thats why i included icons)

UNleveler (Uninstall leveler)

I see it as a small extension on my overview if uninstal of windows fails me to find the traces of the application.

For whoever wants to see/tinker with it, be my guest.

This is very cool as always. But can I ask something, how the hell did you code SOOO much stuff in a couple of days. Every day you have one or two releases. that's super weird.
Just got into VB.Net and am hugely interested in seeing this work :)

You doubt my work is legit? Its a valid qeustion i suppose.
I don't know how other coders (real coders) work but whenever i think of idea's to work and realize it to code, its already in my head. On a few minor differences its almost the same as how i think it would be. Most idea's in my case come from sleep (REM) moments, and perhaps a little help of mister amitriptyline (look it up, im not gonna explain medical stuff here). However it makes me go into a very deep REM and calms me down on the end of the day.
Sometimes your thoughts are to loud on the day, but clear as water at night.

Thats my inside how-to, perhaps you want to share yours.

First of all your work is amazing. But I was impresses how do you have time for all of that. I mean you need time to investigate and put the code together. It needs some time. That's why I was asking, the question actually was, "Don't you have a life".

And when I want to code something, it comes to my mind when I'm bored, that only happens after I turn off my PC and go to bed(4 AM). Then an idea comes up to my mind and I want to code it immediately, the idea comes and it doesn't need thinking. Whenever I try to think it, it doesn't work(LOL). And when I sit the next the on my PC I code it(probably had a note, to not forget to code it). And it will work, but I'll realize that I can add more stuff and more and more. And at the end of the day, it's already midnight and I'm still coding that same thing. And it will get boring and I'll forget about it, without telling anybody how I spent my whole day on the PC coding something that will probably not be used. But whenever I'm bored on the PC, an idea never comes up, and I end up browsing stupid things on HF or watching even stupider videos on YouTube. And I don't use any medicals ROTFL.

Sure enough, but coding should be fun, it extends your creativity, ability feel of accomplishment for me thats it. Im not limited to whatever they give me, i can make it bend my way. A computer use to be a limited work platform, its not anymore, it has endless possibilities so make use of that.
And for the "do i have a life outside?" ye i have, but i actually think its boring so i code to compensate. Some have music some have painting and i create lines of code that resembles my wishes and ambition. Call it what you want, for me thats enough to enjoy. For that med, oh i dont use it for fun dear boy, i use it for a good reason 😕

True, I'm disappointed when I'll see people(most of them) using their computer ONLY for Facebook and nothing else, it makes me want to cry. The people don't realize that the possibilites are endless when you know how to code. But people don't realize that, and they now are also not using their computers, they are just using their smartphones to chat on Facebook, with that eliminating even more the chance to learn anything more about how facebook works and how to make one yourself i.e. learn how to code.

And thank god I'm not alone, sitting home and coding shit.
Not checked the source, But doesn't this just check the registry values?

Indeed it does. Why?

Simple, did you even seen the Uninstall values in register directory?
If not go take a peek,

here let me help you:
Spoiler (Click to View)

Tell me if you can define from those names (not key values) any idea?
If you happen to run your windows on a 12 months reformat basis, then these values pile up, massively. The windows uninstall doesn't always work sometimes, i for one want to know why and what it did to not work, or perhaps just want to know what values it has instead of scrolling thru massive of unreadable register vallues.

So was there another option then NOT use the register? No there is not.

Hopefully you get my point.

I know what are you talking about. Because I've tried it. And it's soo frustrating to find only the working ones i.e. the ones that exist.
Nice programm, it's very cool thx man :)
