Update for newest java.... pretty much no point in developing anything else until you get an exploit for latest java

Yes but why dont you actually search for it? Rather than relying on someone else to find it... JDB are dead without newest update, literally no point in anyone purchasing a JDB till new update is out

This question can be broken down into two parts:

(Basing this off traditional)
Is the jar signed; Yes.
Is the JDB an exploit; No.

1) A 'self signed' certificate is not worth the bits it is written on. If you can make a certificate that claims it is you, I can just as easily forge one.

That is why the JRE lists the publisher as 'unknown'. It does not matter who they claim to be, it is ignored unless the certificate has been verified by a trusted authority.

2) The traditional Java Drive By is not an exploit. It is a standard feature of the way that Java Applets were designed to function. Meanwhile the silent Java Applet contains an exploit that will allow the Java Applet to be bypassed for the correct versions of Java.

You cannot search for something that does not exist at the moment.

While we respect your opinion, the fact is that JDB's are far from dead. Many of our users have purchased license renewals and many new customers have purchased, willingly even after discussing the latest update news.

While there is not a drive-by for the latest version, most if not all versions remain there as they were before and always will be. Of course when a new way to perform the drive by occurs, we will be adding this to the drive-by ASAP.
