Hey HF, I've recently looked into replacing iPhone, iPod and iPad Screens and was wondering if there is any guides etc on here, I've looked on Youtube and theres too many to choose from... Also since im new to this where is the cheapest place to buy parts etc from and what kinds of tools would I need for doing this. What sort of budget would I be looking at for this?
Thanks in Advance,
Regards 🤝
What version of iPhone, iPod and iPad do you have?

Regards,
That is not that hard, But there is alot of small parts, what type of device is it? Also make sure its off when your working on it or youll be in the hell I am in currently
Also info:
Check Ifixit for all your tut's they are very detailed and where I learned
Stay calm
Screens are around 18$ a piece for older devices, newer up to 70$
Home buttons are about 1 cent plus shipping

Jailbreaking is also a pain in the ass, iPhone is just the worst to unlock.
Also adding media files with iTunes is so aggravating.
You can't even use java because they are so anti-pc. 🤦♂
I've been trying to fix my iPhones as well, some of the batteries get swollen or won't even charge. 😭😠

Ipad are hard to repair, Like the screen. It takes about 2 hours due to the risk involved and have one person dedicated to that at my job.
Iphones are easy, but you break one of the capacitors pulling the flex, you out of a device and will have a angry customer(1 year at Electronics Repair Shop Fixing Iphones/Computers/Xbox's)
Ipods can be tricky, Espically 4th Gen, Just be sure to watch Multiple Videos First!
For Parts, my job uses Mengtor.com, But for my use, I use Uni-Grow.com
I have an iPod 5th gen and I smashed all of the screen and to get the screen replaced it would cost me £120 and that's more than half for what I paid for it. So I was like fuck it.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
very Good feeling for you because u fuck it

https://www.ifixit.com/Guide probably has the best guides/tutorials. Some even have full tear down videos.
I use https://www.mobilesentrix.com/ weekly SPECIFICALLY for MOBILE parts only. Their computer parts are awful. The after market parts for the iPhone and iPad screens are not bad. They also provide tools to clone things like the serial number from the old part to the new one. This helps if you want to keep apple from detecting aftermarket and allows you to keep things like true tone or battery health condition.
Im also Apple certified so I use original apple parts all the time and serialize them using GSX or system configurator. So trust me when it comes to aftermarket quality, do not trust anyone else unless they are in the same ring as mobilesentrix. (There are a handful of companies around the states that use the same overseas suppliers. They just slap their little sticker logo or rub off the apple logo before coming through customs.) Literally, I’ve had suppliers send me oem parts with black marker over the logos and serials lol All you had to do is rub it off. They don’t do it anymore but that was the only way until apple pulled through with certifications.
I’ve been doing this for 10 years so far :-| I absolutely hate fixing ipads, i usually just sell them with a new one for $250 and clone the data over. The newer iPad’s without home buttons are absolutely the best to fix!
Also, don’t get discouraged by doing anything wrong or un-carful. Before doing anything, unplug the battery and always make sure you out the screws back in the original spot. Leave them out if you are unsure because long screw damage requires new traces on the board and sometimes it’s a bitch because they have multiple layers now. I absolutely hate separating logic boards.
Good luck and have fun!
