My school blocks VPN ports.

So I notice every VPN I try to use at my school is blocked.
I don't know but I think they block port 80 and 433 or 443 whatever it was VPNs use.

Is there any way to resolve this?
Are you sure the client program is not blocked as well? Because most schools limit what programs you can run.

Most VPNs use a port other than the normal 80, 21 etc. I believe so one way would be to make your own server and use a port like 80 and connect that way.

Have you tried just using a proxy and proxy switchy extension via chrome? Check out my sig for thousands of proxies I post daily free.
You have no friends on the internet.
They block the proxy settings in chrome. You need administrator privileges to edit them.
And for Tux's question, if it's the programs they're blocking, they're certainly doing a good job if they manage to block all 25 I've tried so far.
Waitttt, what operating system are the computers running? If it's Windows 7, try downloading Ultrasurf proxy program (or the proxy/vpn program of your choice, something lightweight and small in size to run), and copy it to a writable folder on the C DRIVE, somewhere it will let you copy it without admin privs. There is LIKELY a place it will let you, just try different directories on the C drive, and run it from there. It SHOULD let you run it, unless there's a group policy set on the system or system registry preventing that specific program from running. If that's the case, try editing the program attributes, icon, and change the name with Resource Hacker or something. 🤝

EDIT: Just read a bit deeper.. Try Ultrasurf, and specify some randomass port of your choice and see if that works. You can tell it to use ANY port for a connection. Try that, and if it doesn't work, try the things above this.

No. Ultrasurf is an absolutely terrible program to try and use on a school network.

Put Firefox mobile on a flash drive and run it. You should be able to run it and change proxy settings easily.
I was always wondering about this, never works.
