Is This Ebook Alone Enough To Learn Basic Java?

http://pub.bruckner.cz/titles/oop

I was just wondering if this ebook alone would be enough to learn basic Java and the terminologies behind it?

I assume not :P Head first always has a good book on topics, if they have one for java, I would look into that.
I learned most of my beginner programming of java from: thenewboston. Books can be hard to follow, and often just end up confusing you more, while thenewboston does great java videos: http://thenewboston.org/list.php?cat=31. I would recommend his series first before reading a book, but its all just personal preference. Also the book: Learn java in 21 days: http://www.rakuten.com/prod/sams-teach-y...OgodYzAAyg. This book does do a good job explaining object oriented programming.
Best of luck to you, and don't give up :)

I haven't come across a single professional recommending TheNewBoston. Not one. I'm not trying to outsmart anyone in here, but please listen to those with a degree in this field: do NOT blindly follow TheNewBoston! DO read a book!
Just reading something won't help you to become a programmer.
The best way is "learning by doing".
But books are usefull if you have a problem which you can't solve without a little help.

To some it is. To others, the best way is in fact to read a book. Others like/have to tell friends and family what they've read in order for them to fully understand it.

I personally remember in illustrations and images, so if you show me how something's done I will remember 95% of it the next day, however if I read about something just once, I won't remember a thing.
