What are your skills?: I have basic understanding of several topics(Coding, Computing, Hacking, ect.), I consider myself advanced in the area of botnets and RATs and things of that nature; there's always room to improve. I rap really good if that has any relevancy.

Well, for starters, I prefer to be called Sinister and I'm 16. And my journey into the hacking scene first started at the tender age of 9. This was back in the day and age when YouTube streams was around, if anybody remembers them. I knew a guy who knew a guy that first discovered the ability to use HTML coding in YouTube streams. With the HTML codes you could do anything from put a picture in your post and opening a javascript text box on someones screen. After experimenting with the codes I became hungry for more knowledge. I began to learn HTML. Fast forward three years. I'm now at the age of 12. It's the middle of summer, right before 9th grade. I notice my computer has been acting strangely. Somehow a rouge anti-virus has been installed on my PC. In desperation, I quickly Google how to get rid of it; in my searches I came acrost the lovely Hackforums and came to learn how to deny the inevitable, if not remove the rootkit/rouge anti-virus. Thus, I started my spiraling journey into the hacking scene. With in the coming weeks I started to learn the basics of ratting/skidding. This was only the appetizer. During the school year, I decided to take a nose dive and jump in to Linux; I installed Ubuntu on the computer I got the rootkit on, and oh boy did I like me some Linux. I tried a couple different distros and I prefer Debian and all of it's apt-get sexiness.

Time skip to summer. It's now the summer, I'm bored, and I look for something to do. With me being a regular on HF, but never actually posting, I decide to get active and start posting. Within about a week, my post count jumps from 92 to around 300 or so. To even advance my activeness on HF, I decide to join an unofficial group called Universal. Within my time in that group, I met a really awesome guy who is now like my mentor(I won't mention his name because he probably doesn't want to be mentioned). After I met the guy, I noticed he had some actual hacking skills ranging from pentesting to coding; and with me, wanting to learn more, I ask him to take me under his wing. With in the coming weeks, him and I become very close and he starts to teach me the serious stuff of hacking; elaborating more on pentesting. But even with him teaching, I really have yet to actually grasp any degree of mastery in pentesting. I want to learn more about hacking to hopefully ascend to the level that my mentor is at, and possibly even higher. Sorry for this wall of text, you said for me to tell you about myself c:

Why do you want to join us?

I remember reading a few quality posts by Th3PonyWizard, so I'm assuming that you guys actually know a thing or two about infosec. I don't really care about the whole group-concept, but I'm bored and it'd be nice to have a few decent people to talk to when there's stuff to talk about. As a bonus, this creates context. For example, I don't have a reason to touch ExtJS these days, but given the request of another member and my interest in the project, I might take it up again. Same applies to code audits or anything else I'm usually just too lazy to do or learn. tl:dr; looking for a place to hang out.

What are your skills?

About 3 years worth of coding experience in various languages. I know my way around a linux system. Decent knowledge of exploitation techniques for both web and binary targets, though I focus on binary. I do my own research instead of pestering others. Solved level 7 of the microcorruption ctf a few days ago, also did a few on smashthestack.org's IO back in '13 (up to 7 or 8, I believe).

Seriously, just ask for specifics if you want them.

What do you expect from us?

Motivation, mutual respect, solid english and a real interest in infosec. I also kind of expect you to update your initial post with a description that is actually useful to the applicant. Hacking and Coding is about as vague as it gets. I neither have an idea of what you guys are actually looking for (Again, mainly looking for experienced members. Experienced in what exactly?), nor do I know what I'm getting myself into.
