I personally think it was still a very good anime but the budget cuts if they are true meant that it couldnt be the best ever anime :(

But yeah apparently he is just recycling the same story over and over :(

Tbh I agree with that to a certain extent.
Angel Beats wasn't as bad as he says it is, but it's not as good as the fanbase hypes it out to be either.

Comedy or Drama, it should have chose one and stuck with it. There is NO WAY you'll be able to do both within 13 eps.

I liked it quite alot and don't think it could of been any better than it was with or without extra budget. Okay, so they were a bit lazy with the crowds; this way they saved money which can be used on some more important stuff. The story isn't super I can agree and it is overhyped, but it's definitely a top anime to watch.

I also highly disagree with the comments of Jun Maeda, for me he's one of the best story tellers of our time and one of the best composers. The author needs a rain check if he disagrees. I mean, how can you argue with someone who's made some of the highest rated anime of the modern era?

I can see where hes coming from with regards to jun maeda tho.

Why break a winning formula though? Just because most Disney films feature a princess who meats a prince, instantly means they're poor. Obviously not, because they still continue to make millions off the films.

Also, just because there is a couple that fall in love, doesn't mean they're a same story. Clannad goes through some deep shit, where-as Angel Beats is about the afterlife. They aren't even close. Then there's Hibiki's Magic which is about wizards and shizzle.

Hmm, there are several theories about Otonashis delayed arrival, many people saying due to memory loss or something

another is this:
"Yuzuru, in fact, had come specially for Kanade so she could pass on. IF YUZURU wasn't sent there KANADE WOULD HAVE BEEN STUCK THERE FOREVER. This explains why Yuzuru had arrived later than Kanade, when he had died before her. "

Sure budget cuts made the anime a bit choppy but c'mon hell you've just got to admit Angel Beats was awesome. I would have loved to know what would happen in the after-after-life but oh well...

I was just summing up what the whole thing is about - I mean I could spend a paragraph explaining each but there's no need. Matter is they are only close because it involves a boy, who meets a girl.

Either way you can't say he writes bad stories just because they're similar. I mean they are some of the highest-rated animes and are very influential. I mean your name is "Angel Beats". Without him there wouldn't be any of these.

It was great, but not that amazing. Ending was terrible, they rushed through it and there was just too much content and not enough episodes.

I believe you copied that from a post I made like a year ago ;)

But yeah there is no answer to this that has any logic, people try to say "It was the anesthesia" but that doesn't make sense because he still has it.

Other answers are just thrown together to make it seem legit but just way to far fetched.

Personally the series would've been great imo. not to say that i didn't like it, but i just felt like they rushed the last 4 episodes or so WAY to much. introduced way to many characters, etc.
