That'd be 100% my fault for not being careful with such a high valued account. It's your shit and you're the sole reason w someone got scammed. Fix up your shit and pay out of your own pocket. It's not hard to secure your shit.
It's fucking bullshit with everyone getting so called compromised and then some poor member gets scammed and they get absolutely nothing back except "I'm sorry. It wasn't my fault." Fuck that shit. I could go to a family members in Delaware for example, log on, post up a currency exchange, scam someone and say "Shit guys, someone must've hacked me. Sorry. I'm not paying you back, it wasn't my fault." If I ever get compromised, I'll pay whoever got scammed.
I don't care what anyone thinks of me, I bet Adam, Kyle, and anyone else who got 'compromised' didn't even get compromised. They simply saw some random person actually got compromised, they told their story, they were believed, and then poof they were free. Now they think they can get away with the exact same shit, except theirs is fake.
Anyone can scam you, it doesn't matter how 'trusted' they are. They'll eventually get bored of this site and move on with their life. Regretting their $500 MD donation, and wanting what they can get back for it. Don't trust anyone.
Exactly, the only users i'm trusting now are group owners.
Actually not even group owners if they can still use this bullshit excuse.

I'm going to post the same thing I posted to xVuln in his thread :
Quote:It's not always their lack of security and responsability Vulnerable. I strongly disagree with you. Do you think Adam obviously download suspect files and execute them ? Of course not. He made have downloaded something from a trusted member or trusted source when in fact the file (download) was hijacked and backdoored. Ever heard or SJDB, exploits, etc. ? The perfect protection doesn't exist and never will. So if you protect yourself at 99,9% and the infection you get was part of the 0,1% protection that you were missing, that can't be protected, it's not your fault at all. Yes of course you need to have good pratices as having a really strong password, changing it often, do dangerous downloads/browsing in a secured/isolated VM and etc., but why do you think there's still many people being hacked ? Malwares being spread ? Attacks being launched against servers, websites, etc. ? Obviously because the hacker are still one big step infront of the IT Security Experts. Good protection exist, excellent protection exist, "best" protection exist, but do the "perfect" protection, that is 100% safe, secure, etc. exist ? No. Will it ever exist ? I really doubt about it. In the end, how do you expect to protect your system more than a security expert that can't prevent a hack to exist and be efficient or a malware to be spread and infecting systems. You can't ask these people, even the trusted one to have a perfect level of protection because it's simply don't exist. If experts can't achieve it, why and how would a casual computer user be able to achieve it ?
tl;dr : No, read the quote. Ain't no tl;dr version.
What would happen if I get compromised ? "Aura The White Hat" gets compromised, ohlala ! Is it my fault ? No it's not. It just means that the person who compromised me and got my hacked had better skills than me, skills and knowledge that are way over my protection and security skills and it's not my fault. I can't expect EVERYTHING to happen. Just protect and secure myself against what I KNOW, not against what I DON'T know.
Fiat justitia ruat cælum
My era of providing technical support and malware removal on HackForums is over, so you can stop PM'ing me about it. Sorry.
My computer wasn't infected. So now leads me to the mystery as to how someone got my password -> ???.
Stop acting like I'm some fuckboy scum who gives out my password to all you guys.
I find the hypocrisy on this thread to be hilarious. You act like it's in my control and it's "my fault" that my account was compromised.
There could be many reasons, including a database drop that I know was around.
My password isn't kylesayshello123.
It's not like I let this guy scam for ages, one scam happened, and I was quick to react and secure the account from any more wrongdoings.
"Your account, your responsibility"
Bullshit. I didn't get any money from this and I don't have the cash to pay it back.
You realize how many fucktards I've done currency exchange with that had reputable accounts but turns out they were just purchased? I've lost hundreds through paypal from that. Did I bother opening a scam report? No. They were exiled the next day because Omni sees there was clear suspicion. Deals on this site are to be taken at your own risk. As much as I'd like 0.225 BTC, I see no reason to scam for that. And I see no reason to pay anything "back".
I'm really sorry this happened to you xVuln.. seriously. I just don't have the money, I offered you a spot in the Miners if that meant anything to you at all.
You have to realize I didn't take your money, while I can't back that up, I'm sure Omniscient will look through my IP logs as I saw an IP that wasn't mine.. clear VPN.

Aura said that he could get compromised on a daily basis.

I did not deny that you got hacked.
Your account is your responsibility indeed. Someone lost money, $160 to be more precise, and that is your fault. This is just assuming the responsibility of taking care of your account's security.

Scam report looks legitimate but considering Kyle is on a temp account I don't see how this could be his fault.
Whoever took Kyle's account fucked both of you over, he's offering to compensate with what he has. Sucks to be on either end of this.
Completely the account owner's fault.
No, I'm not saying that Adam nor Kyle are going to go out and scam, but it's surely a possibility. You should never trust anyone on the internet, you never truly 100% know who they are.
Anyone can scam.

*question not directed just to this qouted user.
I was thinking about this earlier. What if there was an SQL injection for the site, and the offender used it to grab an account at the time and scam off it.
Whose fault is that? Omni's? Or the people who lost their account to a forum error?
Who should pay the person that got scammed back?

At this time, the account holder was power to stop such a thing, Omni has no knowledge of such a SQL injection in order to prevent it.

Not that I'm suggesting there is or will be.
Just adds another way to look at it.
If that did happen, who would be responsible. And if the account owner did pay the person, then it was found out to be due to the site. What would people want done? Cause that's sure as hell not fair to the person that paid the person scammed back.

It's basically the same thing vice vercsa if he faked being hacked. Yah! Why dont you quit being a fucking asshole and try to wait and come to a compromise ? I highly doubt he is going to pretend to be hacked over this pocket change, why would someone with such a great account target such a low amount of money and ruin their account? If he wanted to pull off a scam I assure you it wouldn't be just this pitiful amount, he would aim for the big bucks.
