Possible to code Crypters, silent Miners, RAT's in Java ?

Also, it doesn't matter if it's programming or not, if someone is asking for help, or trying to learn, they should be treated that way in an environment like this. This is not a school, it's the real world, where people aren't going to waste both people's time and hold your hand.

In addition, being harsh with people makes them learn faster, assuming they care at all and aren't retarded. If you're being called retarded and need to defend your arguments, you're going to make damn sure that you're right, to the best of your ability; you're also going to double check what you're saying. It also makes them more hesitant to make stupid posts, or say things they aren't entire sure about, which wastes less people's time. If they really want to contribute, they're going to do some research and make sure they're right.

While I agree with the last paragraph of yours do you honestly believe that most of the people posting in here are mentally incapable of learning how to program? Are you fucking serious?

This is not the real world. This is a bulletin board for people with geeky interests - mostly related to hacking. If the person you were calling retarded had signed up for a course or applied for a job, and had been that clueless, the cursing would be justified, but this place is a place for people to learn how to program, just as much as it's a place for professionals to discuss new changes in the programming language (not that those are frequent).

By my standards, most people who graduate with a degree in CS can't program. Sure, they can piece something together, that probably works most of the time, but it's horribly done, and is analogous to a collage made by a kid.

You're entirely wrong. This is not an academic setting, therefore it is the real world.

What you obviously don't understand is that being offensive and an asshole makes people who actually care about learning it do so more efficiently... The goal isn't to make sure no child is left behind, it's to get the people who actually want and can learn to program where they need to be as quickly as possible.

I believe this can be achieved by other means than name calling. You would most likely end up with a broken nose if you told a person in the actual real world that he must be retarded for doing XYZ (as opposed to the assumed real world in the online community - I still don't agree here, no).

Lol, a 2 page argument over a slightly remotely 'inappropriate' comment.

It can, but it's not nearly as effective in the medium...

Your assumption that I would apply this methodology to a different medium of communication is just wrong. There are different optimal techniques for different mediums, relationships, situations, etc.

It's hardly about this particular comment...

The discussion that has prolonged 2 pages was initiated by your comment on someone's question.

Number of pages depends on your settings... Still a lot of posts until it gets to the second page for me.

Either way, it's about how I reply in general, not just this particular comment.

Obviously, which is why it puzzles me that a presumably smart and intelligent person such as yourself would heavily rely on name calling...

Yep,

You can do just about everything with Java, as long as it doesn't involve pointers, or injecting code into native games.

Because it's part of the optimal technique for this medium...

I would say that it works for some people, but I wouldn't call it the 'optimal' method. Even when dealing with the people who need a stronger push I would typically prefer to go with a more subtle message that will make them realize their own mistakes. However, you are entitled to behave as you see fit as that is part of the reason that message boards work.
I don't know how to Java.

You can do that too easily with JNI or JNA ✌

From years of trial and error, it's the most effective, by far. Being more subtle doesn't work, seeing most people won't pick up on subtle hints...

JNA, yes, JNI, no. JNI is a much more C-flavoured approach, which may be needed - I haven't tried myself. JNA is essentially playing with lowlevel stuff loaded from libraries, but seems to be pure Java without the need of making C-files. Again: I haven't tried it.
