3D Printed Omnicoins!

^^
Yup. Couldnt agree more. My printer isn't cheap price wise, 2,200, but compared to other printers its a pretty small lower quality printer. Not to mention it only has 1 extruder so it would be a pain.
Oh and OP could you send me a link to where I could buy a 3D printer like yours? I've been fascinated in getting one. :)

I never even though to paint them. This would cover the whole problem of the colors. Also I would totally send them to omni but I doubt that he would give his adress/po box to a random stranger. If you can hook me up with where to find it I would totally ship them though. Thanks for feedback/idea!

Here is the one I bought. http://store.makerbot.com/replicator2. It is now not selling but you could get the mini for around 1,300 if I remember. I personally reccomend the makerbot seris. It isn't the cheapest around, but its made for total dummies (not calling you or me one). You don't have to have any computer skills and you would be able to figure it out. On the mini I think they even have a mobile app to controll the printer and make bracelets. Also sending this in PM form incase you don't notice it.

why not four?

Noone said it had to be 2, and I could easily scall this to any size. My test one (the one in the pictures) was 2 inches and I thought that was good. Thanks for helping me keep an open mind, as I probably would have kept printing these 2 inch ones.

I’d love to get into CAD design and printing along with milling and what not. Is it difficult to learn the CAD process?

+3 for making these!

I use auto desk inventor student edition. It's a 6,000 professional CAD program but for students, if you give them your name and school info you can get it for free. I'm sure you can find lots of tutorials on how to learn but I learned from my 9th grade tech class (I'm going into 10th).

This particular model was extremely easy to make, it was just getting the curves just right compared to the reference image.

Thanks for the feedback and feel free to send me a PM if you want any more info or have questions.

I was thinking about flappy bird XD

What exactally do you mean? I don't understand lol.

Do you mean just a bunch of flat items that create the look of flappy birds or do you mean creating like the 3d pipes etc. Or even just printing out the bird itself?
What printer did you buy, I sold mine about a year ago

I bought the makerbot replicator 2 in mid April. It was 2,200 but the brand is great and its super easy to use and print stuff with. What printer did you have?

I'll try to make the CAD model tonight and post what it looks like. If the model turns out good I'll print it out. It would actually be good to make and I could make it like a keychain sorta thing. Thanks for the scool idea Screem!
Dude RyanHogan... you should make an N7 copy from Mass Effect and send me it. I would so totally fucking paint and hang that thing on the wall.

I'd definatly be able to make the model but right now I'm really busy printing other stuff. I'll see how easy it is to paint on this material but I'm guessing that it's gonna be a bitch to get paint to stick to. I'll check out making the model and stuff though. I assume you would want the letters mounted on a square/rectangular background like in the picture?
How much was your printer I want it thanks,
