I'm pursuing my final year Computer Science degree, as for the completion I need to submit a project, I've been searching for a good topic/idea for the last 3 weeks and sadly none found that sparked my interest.

It'll be great if you guys can help me to choose one or suggest innovative ideas. I welcome every kind of ideas that rose in any kind of Computing area.

I've chosen some topics/ideas as reserved and I'll list it so you can know what to suggest.

So far,

• Server load balancing/Cluster/Intelligent traffic routing
  


• Crowd sourced/real-time/responsive financial/stock solutions that can help investors/businessman [Big Data] - Most prioritized as of now.
  


• Intellieye - A embedded system based glass(like the actual google glass) which can help patients in coma/disabled to communicate/do things, essentially a cam inside glass that'll track retinal movement and a display. -Least prioritized.
  

You can suggest any kind of ideas/topics/anything that comes under Computing genere. It'll be great if you can help me to overcome my confusion. Also feel free to suggets/comment on selected topics.

My mini-project was a Siri like intelligent assistant with home automation enabled by Raspberry pi.

Out of the suggestions you listed, I think the "Server load balancing/Cluster/Intelligent traffic routing" would be the easiest one to complete and get a good mark in.

Plus it may be a tool that will be of use to you in the future should you decide to get into server networking, or even need to traffic shape at home.

Around eight years ago when I used to have a crappy internet connection (3Mbps down 0.25 Mbps Up), I used to download a software called Netlimiter to control the internet speed on the other PC's in the house so I'd always have the best connection.

I was really interested in it, I really wanted to design and create a system much like CloudFlare but with my own say better algorithms, but I guess that field is very saturated now ! There are thousands of solutions out there offering free service !.

I need something innovative, new technology and market friendly, that's when I found a booming technology called "Big Data", it comes to picture when we need to process/store petabytes of data in a timely manner, which enables Google and such large companies to provide specified data in smallest possible time, also it comes to picture when we need to mine data from Internet.

My suggested financial solution will analyse current trends from social sites like twitter, Facebook and various stock sites to provide a super easy and flexible platform for Investors/businessman, they can search what's the trends in market, what's gonna sell like hot cake, whether google's stocks going up or down, probabilities, all these comes under the hood of "Bid data" and data mining.

You could do something with mobile devices. Maybe concentrate on how the shift to mobile devices introduced new threats. Current security strategies for mobile devices, how those strategies can fail, the importance of fixing the problem now, and possible solutions would be very relevant nowadays.

Thank you for idea but I'm not looking in to mobile solutions as of now, I want something related to core computing with a marketing possibility.

I did finalised Intelligent Financial System as my project named "FinAssist".
