I built a computer a couple months ago but now is when I'm really using it. I've been playing breaking point the Arma 3 mod. I average 40 FPS on the lowest settings. I don't mind but what the problem is Ill be playing and it will play normal then out of no where my FPS will drop from 40 to 3-6. I then have to restart my Arma 3.
My specs are:
CPU AMD FX-4300 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard Biostar TA970 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Memory (2) G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
Storage Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card MSI Radeon HD 7770 1GB Video Card
Updated GPU had put the wrong one MSI not Asus
Please check your background processes & end unnecessary stuff.
Does the frame drop happen at particular points or just completely random?

completely random. it could take an hour if im lucky or every 20 minutes even in 5 minutes.

It seems like it might be an overheating issue, if anything. I recommend downloading and installing GPU Tweak. Check your temperatures as you play, and adjust the fan speed accordingly.
Let's start by the basics.
Update your graphic card drivers from AMD website directly, then restart your computer and update your Windows Performance Index score.

Are you still getting that in-game lag/FPS drop ?

yes i just got it playing mid-game.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Correct me if I'm wrong but that graphics card just might not be able to handle the game smoothly.
Do you play on several different servers or always the same one? If you're always playing on the same server it could be server side. Try a different server or even a different mod to see if you get the same issue.

On different servers and games. Same thing hapens, but i think my problem might be my monitor. I'm using an HD tv running on HDMI.
You might get some input lag because of that, but not fps drops. I'm not sure if this is your issue, but it wouldn't hurt to get another stick of ram, i don't think 4 gb is really enough anymore. Especially if you have other processes running well you're playing.
Why an AMD FX-4300 ? that's probably the problem with your FPS maybe get a new one ? My friends I play with on Steam (3 people) have that card and they have so many issues with it, their currently saving up for an 8350, that processor is the way to go in my opinion.
