Update: Woops. It looks like I goofed while making the poll. While the long-term goal is to make it the ultimate hub for all things anime, the short-term goal (for now) is to port over the site from being just a search site for finding sites to watch anime on to being a search site to find anything anime related (streaming sites, reviews, discussions, wikis, etc,). The first choice was against the change of Nori to an all anime related search site.

Hey AA, I need all of your opinions on this before I decide to go any further.

I'm contemplating whether or not I should keep Nori as a search site for finding places to watch anime (it currently is an anime streaming site search engine). Originally, this wasn't what I had in mind, but over time, it sort of just became this. I was hoping to expand it to a "everything about anime" site/search site, but if I did so, it would end up losing the majority of the links on it right now (they would end up being ranked lower).

My question (please vote in the poll above) is "Should I keep Nori as a site to search other streaming sites? Or should I make it into a site that searching for anything about anime in general (this includes streaming sites)?"

I'd really love user input here. Thanks guys.

Just a side note: I have no intention to change the actual layout of the site; I'd just recode the crawler/search system.

Also, if I were to convert it, I was thinking of adding a feature that filters out only streaming sites from the result set (Along with keeping a legacy version of our current search system up for a few months). Does this sound like a better alternative?

I would prefer an all around anime site, which can also easily implement the streaming search idea as well. Try to make it the new wiki for all things anime.

I like the look of it, well made theme.

To be honest you should just slowly expand to an all around anime site, that way you'd get to keep both.

I liked the idea of your search anime search engine but it's not really needed for instance you go to MAL they have their own anime search engine, forums, and lists. So in a sense your site is obsolete, and I'm not trying to be mean just saying it won't become extraordinary popular. However if you decide to make your own all around anime website you can expand on that and make it how you want, and change it to have multiple uses and purposes which I think you could make to be more popular.

Thanks for all of your feedback. I'll be closing this now. Over time, I'll slowly port it over to an all around search engine, while keeping a feature to retain its streaming search function (along with other things such as fanart).
