• • What is it?
  
  
  
  The scammer database is a userscript and website created by Xerotic to help members protect themselves against scamming.
  Members are able to submit existing deal dispute threads to the database and once accepted the change will reflect on a potential scammers profile.
  Here is an example of a member in the database:
  
  
  
  Notice the black bar under his username? That represents the color of his username before the script takes over.
  You are able to see a list of the user's deal disputes when you click the red '+' next their username.
  
  
  
  Currently the script will show you if the user is in the scammer database on the following pages:
  
  • showthread.php
    
  
  
  • reputation.php
    
  
  
  • repsgiven.php
    
  
  
  • member.php?action=profile
    
  
  
  • private.php
    
  
  
  • index.php
    
  
  
  
  
  • How do I get it?
  
  
  
  To start using the script, visit the ABOUT page on the scammer database website.

  Once you have the userscript installed, head on over the Deal Disputes section and start submitting scripts to the database.
  The userscript will sync with the database every 15 minutes, but if you want to update it sooner there is a "Update Scammers" link below the logo on HF.
  *** Note that threads will not be approved in the database until I approve it or one of my site moderators approves it. Typically this will be within a few hours at most.

  Users in the database are not convicted scammers. It is simply a record of existing deal dispute threads that have not been resolved.
  Always properly research a user before you do any deals. This script helps a lot, but you still have to do your part.

Go to threads here and click "[Add to Database]" once you are in the thread.
