Right, so..

I know there's a huge majority of you out there using YouTube's instant ranking method: the 301 method.

I have to say the method is pathetic, people using it are pathetic and YouTube is pathetic for letting it go on for so long. Before anyone decides to rage and say "some people need the money!!!", hold your tongues and keep reading. Think about this for a second: Do you like earning $2-$10 a day using the 301 method? Is the amount of boring work you put into actually worth it? You may as well just go get a fucking job.

To me, it seems you have to be pretty simple minded to go and spend all your days going about with this method. You are plain and simply wasting your time. I honestly don't give a rats ass who I make angry by this post.. what I'm saying is true. Take this as a warning and stop wasting all your time earning a penny a day for hours of work.

I see that the 301 method is going on and off lately.. YouTube is about to patch this method. Take your hands out your pants, start researching and get working on real Internet Marketing. Anyone can do it, no excuses.

Read what Blueshift posted above.. In the time space of 6 months when youtube brought out the 301 method, I learnt SEO.. earned $0 a day for those months, now im to 500+ a day.

What is more worth it? Yes sure youtube is a good source of income. However not vis the 301 method

And now it comes:
You'll notice how you maybe get like 10 clicks a hour, and that is just nothing.

People should actually track the traffic which is provided by that, it's close to be nothing, I alrdy get more from one reddit post

This f*ckin' 301 method ruined monetizing on youtube :|. The time you put in making videos/uploading again and againd doesn't worth those 2-5 pennies you get.

Personally, when I first found about this method, I was surprised and tried it too. I was not too good at it, as I was used to rank my niches slow and good, or at least not by unlisted method :) Didn't make too much compared to a normally well ranked niche so now here I am talking about that wasted time.

In my opinion, people will never understand this until the method will be patched. And there are several reasons for that, i'm not going to list them here, you already know them...

In my opinion it's all about finding a comfortable balance between short and long term methods and where you'd like to see yourself in say a years time.

If you're happy to make $XX daily/weekly using short-term methods (like this), then so be it. But just realise like OP has pointed out - eventually your income is going to shrivel, and when it does, those who put the time in to learn something that may be considered more complex in nature, will prevail and will be passing you in the fast lane of Internet Marketing.

Its a massive waste of time and youth (most people doing this are young.. 15-20) Use your time to learn something long term so it can actually be of use SOMETIME later in life.

I don't understand how it is so hard to patch it. They should have an automatic ban system so when users use the same ip more than 50 times, the video will be instantly banned.

That's not even a solution most of them are using that tubebox program and using proxies with it.

The problem doesnt rest in using the same ip 50 times.. they cant do that because some uses that are popular on youtube upload hourly (i cant remember who, but ive seen some vids)

The problem is that it became part of youtubes ranking factor.. it was probably a side effect of some viral experimentation youtube was doing. So it was hard to patch because it was probably to do with yt's entire ranking system
