Hi, i'm new to this, and have a few questions if anyone would be kind enough to help, after reading some of these threads i've realised just how little i know, my questions might seem a bit stupid to the more knowledgeable of you but advice would be much appreciated,
First off, i'd like to know how you'd infect a victims mobile with a RAT?
Through their gmail? link in text?
Do they have to actually download something?
Could it just be link they click on which does it?
Are there simpler ways to monitor a mobile device if you don't need admin privileges, you just need to monitor?
You compile an infected APK i believe
And to the last one, not sure. I mean, I've always had root access on my phones.

There are AndoidRATs in the market which can infect android phones.
However I'm not really familiar.
It think Crimson RAT supports APK :) Never tried tough but i thin its Worth a shot ;)

What's rooting? don't you need access to phone?
Rooting is basically Linux's sudo for android. It is based off of linux, ya know.

Can it be done without access to phone?
Lol, it basically lets you do anything on your phone. From overclocking with voltage control, to making hidden files. It's been a while since I rooted mine (like 2 years), so I've forgotten how it was done. You may want to google it.
