Vpn?
vpn will certainly help you but it's not full proof and no one can say they are, vpn provider says no logs but simply this is not true, they don't have to hold the logs on their machines but their isp is holding them and they can simply go to them and ask but they will need a warrant of course, many people on vpn's are also stupid, like logging into facebook while your on your vpn, now facebook has your ip from your vpn and facebook also got a nice pic of you and your loved ones so it wouldn't be hard to find ya, Knowing what you are doing is best but even the best get's caught eventually weather they are behind the pc or not at the time is the real question. It's all about how you go about it, If your going to make a ruckus and what not then yes your going to get noticed, and what your doing to your friends is horrible, Yes I've ratted before but never would I do this to anyone I know cause there are things in this world not meant for you and knowing those things about the people you love can be devisitating to both party's if they someone found out, I say you ask to many question's and you should not rat simply cause you need to do some more learning simple enough, everyone that has done ratting knows that its morally wrong and can come with jail time but yet we did them anyways knowing this, now you asking a full proof way no there is none, weather it's worth their time is another story

well some user say if u do it to any high profiled person u may go to jail , but i will say if you do rat u can go to jail doesnt matter who the person is u may ask why ? well ratting a cyber crime it is not allowed to control other people computer unless you have the permission from the owner of the computer u r ratting , now the main part is if u rat a random person and u do bad thing by their computer , steal their bank account , or anything else and the person find out ur doing it or controling their computer
they can complain and you will go to jail since you dont have the permission to control their pc i guess its clear now
"RATTING" is not in itself illegal.
Using the information you get after you RAT someone is. If you steal money from, steal information from, or use anything you find against them or for profit or gain. Then you can get in a lot of trouble. The act of infecting someone in and of itself is not illegal though.
Team Viewer does just about anything a RAT can do. The only difference is you have to have their permission to do what you want/need to do through Team Viewer. RATs are more tools used to help people and companies maintain their services and machines. Putty is a program that you use with servers, as well as many other things like Putty, these are technically all RATs but they are legal and we call them programs and software rather then an underground or black hat term that was coined over the ages.
Anyway, hope this helps you understand more about RATs. Also, they are Remote Administration Tools or at least that is what "RAT" stands for. There are MANY MANY forms of RATs and there are many illegal as well as legal uses for them. So to RAT someone is not illegal, but using what you find/get from them can be.
Have an awesome day! 🤝

and it may be this way for some country's sadly not in the USA, this is punishable by a pretty hefty jail time here the act of infecting ones machine without their consent is simply the same as me entering your house without your consent it's still against the law regardless if you stole anything

The use of a computer to take or alter data, or to gain unlawful use of computers or services

Oh yea, you are right. I forgot about this. I think it was back in 2009 the Laws Changed in the US.
Sorry for the false info. Thanks for correcting me. 🤝
Its highly illegal to go into some ones computer without their knowledge. so it might likely put you in jail.
Yes you can go to jail. My advice would be not to do it at all and keep yourself from venturing into that path even though you may be tempted.
Honestly, it is good to know how they work and how to stop them. If you infect yourself you'll be safe, but do it for educational purposes rather than malicious purposes.
Have a good day bro.
