Nothing is completely random like the others said. I would just use the built in class or if you really wanted to get as random as you could use http://Random.org. They use radio receivers to pick up atmospheric noise, which is quite "Random". If you wanted to do it, it's the simplest thing to do.
(Excuse the C# Code)
If you wanted a little more customization:
This would generate a random number between 1 -100, and would be the most efficient way to go about achieving as close to "Random" as possible.
(Excuse the C# Code)
PHP Code
<?php
using(Webclient client = new Webclient()){
string RandomNumber = client.DownloadString("http://www.random.org/integers/?num=1&min=1&max=100&col=1&base=10&format=plain&rnd=new");
int Ran = int.Parse(RandomNumber);
}
PHP Code
<?php
public static int Randomint(int min, int max)
{
using (WebClient client = new WebClient())
{
string RandomNumber = client.DownloadString("http://www.random.org/integers/?num=1&min=" + min + "&max=" + max + "&col=1&base=10&format=plain&rnd=new");
return int.Parse(RandomNumber);
}
}
This would generate a random number between 1 -100, and would be the most efficient way to go about achieving as close to "Random" as possible.
