Yes, we hope so. I will contact him with ideas we gain from feedback in this thread. But "integration" is a vague term, and so we would like ideas about specific things hackforums can add to support omnicoin. I do not believe that omni is currently working on any developments.

I can get dice games set up but gambling is disallowed here, so there's really no point. Only way to revive the coin is to get Omniscient to accept the coins as actual money, not just some novelty tokens for awards. He should be using it to accept upgrade, stickies, etc. He was adding sales tags but it has been over 2 months and we haven't seen anything. Since MyBB 1.8 has been released, he might need to recode it as well.

Yeah. I think he himself has doubts about the future of the coin. One problem I see there though, is that he is almost the only large omnicoin earner and will collect a huge proportion of the omnicoin, much like a pre mine. We can already see that his phat wallet has over 30% of all omnicoin. But I guess that if he holds a lot there is less available in the community, decreasing supply, so maybe it's a good thing? Currently there are way to many omnicoins for the community and it's price has dropped dramatically as a result.

I bet he wish he could use it for stickies and upgrades but he knows the harsh reality and that is OMC wont keep a roof over his families head and wont put food on the table. What he needs to do is make new things cost OMC like being able to post a thread in the marketplace requires you to pay some OMC. Or if you want to post images in a thread it costs OMC. etc etc

We aren't going to have a discussion about omni earnings, but i am sure he can afford to accept omnicoin as a payment. Of course it's value will rise and it is still a legitimate form of currency just like bitcoin.

You cant compare OMC to Bitcoin. You can compare OMC to one of the thousand alt coins out there that people have made.

What makes alt coins successful is support and something unique about them. Omnicoin has the potential to succeed because hackforums Is an enormous community, easily enough to give the coin a strong foundation. As long as we keep working, omnicoin can become better than the thousands of other alt coins.

Ye, my pool usually only holds a couple of thousand. The rest is transferred to paper wallets which are sweeped as needed. They're even stored in a fireproof vault, weighs a ton, lol.
I agree on the multi-wallet or whatever we should call it. It's extremely time consuming to develop. I'm working on one, but so busy with other things and I'm not going to be done anytime soon. I am, however, working to generalize it so I can use it for other coins if anything bad should happen to OMC.

Maybe a system of business's that agree to give a discount to all OMC purchases? Then they can put a badge on their sales thread that they are part of this program.

That sounds interesting. Acceptance of omnicoin as a payment is the primary things that needs to grow, so this might help. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, something like a sales tag for services which give discounts on OMC purchases would be a good idea.
If the already planned sales tags are implemented, these services should possibly have something more unique than that, such as a bright organge/yellow thread prefix. (Maybe not that, but something similar).
