Type: "/showplaces" without quotes into a message box to one of your friends, (your friend wont see it). It will list all endpoints of devices logged into your skype.

Now if you want someone to log off, or if you arent at home and want your skype to be logged out incase a family member is going to snoop or check in on it go ahead,
and type You can try the "/remotelogout", it works very well!

Run multiple Skype accounts on Windows desktop

Say you own more than one Skype account, a business, a personal, and who knows maybe a third for a certain reason which cant be disclosed!
Well, this method will help you a ton! Run more than one instance of Skype on your desktop.

To use more than one Skype account on the same computer at the same time, you need to start a new instance of Skype.

From the Windows taskbar, click Start > Run (or press the Windows The Windows key. and R keys on your keyboard at the same time).
In the Run window, type the following command (including the quotes) and press OK:

For 32-bit operating systems:
# "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary

For 64-bit operating systems:
# "C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary

Use Skype as a Push-To-Talk (Like Teamspeak, Mumble ,Ventrilo)

Sometimes people ask to use Skype, but you don't feel comfortable as a result because parents yelling in background or annoying brothers and sisters.
Maybe even a fan in the background that annoys people in the Skype group call. Well now! You can use a push-to-talk key.
This pretty much mutes your microphone and unmutes while you hold onto a key and goes back into mute mode when you let go of the key.

Also set up hotkeys to end call if your parents are coming or you don't want to be seen on Skype ;)

Under Tools> Options >Advanced you'll be able to set up the hot keys you want.
Some are hard coded (like answer call, answer with video, hang up, and decline call); the rest you can assign a hot key of your own choosing.
Click on push-to-talk and set a command key you want!

You didn't know? Yes, you can use Skype's Wifi Hotspot however it does cost money but,
for the people who are travelling and or need to make an urgent browse or Skype call you can browse their hotspots using their Skype App! :)

Download it at home, set it up with your Skype account, and make sure you've got some Skype Credit.
You can also use it with the desktop versions of Skype itself for Mac, Windows and Linux; in Windows enable it under Tools>Options>Skype WiFi.

Yes. You dont need to deal with Skype ads anymore! Are they annoying you? Well it is very easy to remove the ads. Just follow these simple steps.

Go to Tools>Options>Notifications. Select "Alerts & Messages" and then uncheck the box next to "Promotions."

And now voila no more misclicking the ad in Skype contact list when trying to message someone from a while ago :).

Yes. Some of you may know this but alot do not! Have that annoying brother or sister who randomly messages a contact of yours?
Accidentally pasted confidential information to a contact you thought was someone else? Well this trick and tip is VERY easy to do.

Just right click on the message, select Edit Message, and you can change it. Or just delete it.
Note: This is for messages that are not too old.

Some people like it, some people don't. If you want to clear the history with a certain person you can delete the .xml file of that contact.
If you want to delete the whole Skype history, then follow along!

Go to Tools>Options>Privacy>Privacy Settings and find the button “Clear history”. You may also set the period during which your history will be kept.

Stop or customize the annoying notifications. Set a *Only Notify me when these words are mentioned

I hate random Skype groups, I'm sure we all do. You can stop those annoying notification Skype gives you and have it set so Skype
only notify you when your name is mentioned or a certain word/phrase is said. This could be very useful!

Go to Conversation>Notification Settings>Options>, here is where you can choose which option you feel most comfortable with.

Say you want to save all your contacts and re-add them on a new Skype, it gets annoying having to
message each one to tell them to add you to their new Skype or for you to look through each contact.
Need no more! This should solve that annoying problem :)

Under Contacts> Advanced>Backup Contacts to File.... It lets you save them to a VCF file, which you can later restore to Skype from the same menu on a different account.

Actually x86 means 32-bit, and x64 means 64-bit.

Most systems have 32-bit listed in system operations which is why I chose to also use the Skype help support 32-bit version name. Ill also add the x86 beside it. :)

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

This is full of things I didn't know. I wish I knew this one awhile ago...
