Not sure if this is the right thread to ask. It's not monetizing related, but I want to promote my site.
I have a new forum that's anime related and I'm new to advertising and SEO. What's the best way to get traffic and members to join? I asked some friends and only three joined. I have a budget of $100 to spend on advertising & services, but I don't really know where to start. ![]() (Sep 13, 2014 04:26 PM)Fox Wrote: Not sure if this is the right thread to ask. Most new forums gets sticky in Lounge or you can ask Omni if you could sticky a thread in Anime section, that would be your best bet. Also spending too much money on advertising a forum that has little to no members is a blind street, if anyone even sees it, without members barely anyone will join. I'd stick with HF and other forums, in the end you need "forum" people, you cant just purchase clicks and expect members. Oh and, you can create a sort of giveaway for people that post a lot in Anime section and let them wear your signature, offer like 2x5$ and get 20 to wear it, should give you a suffice amount of members to fire things up. If its a new forum than doing SEO with a 100$ budget wont be enough. Your best way for promotion is to advertise the forum by posting links to it on other forums like sonex said, blogs, anime websites etc. You can try Media Buying with 100$..Create a decent banner and buy 1 week or 1 month spot on other anime related websites so you can get traffic rolling in to your forum. Keep in mind that you need to have original and good content and threads on your forum in order to get your visitors to sing up. So i recommend you devote some time in filling your forum with good content and posts first. Adding admins and moderators helps a lot since you can make them post threads and reply`s everyday to keep the forum fresh with content. If you need any further assistance dont hesitate to ask. Is there any methods you guys know of ? Any skills you might have? Or have you done anything in particular? Your question is rather vague, as if we can tell what you're able or not able to do. We need a starting point to give you direction, so please try to make your post a bit more detailed. Thanks.
Hi there.
So, I've made a bit of money online in the past year (About $450) but I did it by working jobs as support agents, doing small tasks for people and selling a few things. I want to start making more money online in order to support my university fund as there are only a few more years until I start university. This may seem like an extremely broad question, but where do you suggest I start in order to make some money? I am ready to work hard but I have no idea where to begin with all of the monetizing world.

You seem to know how to work with people, I assumed it when you said you used to work as support agent, unless its much time consuming I suggest you to keep doing whatever you done last year in that field(if it brings enough money though). Regarding a starting point, I mainly suggest people to go for CPA, it takes small amount of time(most stuff can be outsourced) and its quite simple to fire it up. Sign up to AdWork Media for a start, they are one of the best CPA companies around these days, they have plenty of resources for starters as well! Your next step is picking a niche, you can either go for single-offer advertising(email, zip submits) or content locker, its where you lock a certain "thing" for people to complete surveys in order to download it (can be anything from codes to generators). After you decided which one you feel is trending right now, you need a nice looking TLD domain, preferably .com but any is fine. You can use free hosting for a start as well. Next thing is to decide on payed (PPV, PPC) advertising or free(YouTube and other social platforms). Most people go for YouTube + investment, you're gonna need a proof with voice over for your niche, if its xbox codes, then it should be you redeeming a code, I believe you know how to duplicate it. Once you're done, you need to spend couple of bucks on High Retention views as well to fire your video up, not to mention to add correct and relevant keywords. Also you can make a Facebook fan page as well. This is briefly, lemme know via PM if you have more questions.

I personally dislike eWhoring due to morals, etc. But if it floats your boat, then go ahead, you have already earned a nice amount. 🤝
