My name is Vent.

You can also call me Hunter, as that's my real name. Either one works.
I'm 16 and I'm agnostic. Agnosticism is the belief that, whether or not there is a God, it is unknown and will always be unknowable, so the pursuit of a religion is really just a waste of time, and we should spend our lives trying to be good people instead. If there is a God, he shouldn't damn us for that.
I've had many experiences in life despite my age, from wonderful to tragic. I'll keep the tragedies out of this thread, as they're irrelevant, but as for some of the wonders I've experienced, I'm sure you'd find them somewhat relevant.
I've lived in Australia for 3 months, England for 8 months, and Mexico for a month. I have also been to at least two countries on every continent (bar Antarctica, of course). I'm fluent in English, Spanish,
French, and Latin. Latin may seem a little random, but the school in England that I went to made us take Latin. It's weird, I know.
When it comes down to it, that's all about my life, really. I've been shaped heavily by my travels across the world, and I hope to travel to many more places as I grow older. Currently, I'm living in America.

That's all great information, but why should I be in Specialists?

While I'm not a jack of all trades like some of the others in this thread, I have a couple of talents that I am exceptionally good at.
I'll leave this as a precursor, I've only ever made one big tutorial thread, and it has nothing to do with any of my skills here. I hope this doesn't turn you off of my application, as my contributions to the forum are usually in the forms of helping and posting in threads.

I am a great writer. I've been writing nearly every day since I was 7, when my therapist recommended for me to begin writing in journals. Eventually journals got boring, so I started creative writing on top of my journals. Then I started writing poetry, and then I practiced writing letters to people. Recently I've begun to take up writing programming in my notes. I write as much of a program as I can in my notebook, and then I write it all again in an IDE like Eclipse (assuming I'm writing Java), and mark down where I messed up in my journal. I'm trying to get to a point where I make virtually no mistakes, and this exercise is helping my grasp on languages such as Java greatly.

My other skills are counseling people and helping them, which I'd hope is a skill, and debating. I've debated on the debate team at my school for 3 years now, and I'm always exceptional at the job. Whether I'm debating for or against something I believe in, I always put my all into it and try to find flaws in other people's arguments. It's fun and friendly, and honestly helps me let out a lot of energy.

Why do I want to be in Specialists?

Specialists can definitely give me a home in which I can collaborate with other people on projects relevant to my skills, particularly writing. Collaboration is a large key to growth in any skill, and while I consider myself an extremely good writer, I can always pick up and learn new techniques.

How can Specialists benefit from me?

I can contribute in the form of making threads for people, helping with writing assignments of any kind, checking spelling and grammar, and if necessary I can be a great debate partner / opposition. Above all else, I'd represent Specialists with pride on and off site, with every piece of writing I submit.

Hello all, here's my application for the group Specialists.

I meet all the requirements especially the first one by a small margin.



Who am I?

I'm the simple & ordinary HF user that browses a lot & posts only when required.
I'm not great unlike others but I'm happy for that too.
I know when to bow to someone to learn & I also know when to stand up & guide the way.
I have nothing to brag about just nothing but all I have got is devotion & loyalty which is hard to find these days.
You may question what need does these two fulfill but look around yourselves & see how many people actually would be willing to do this for yu.
I see there are several group recruitments going on & tohere would be numerous members who would apply in all of them to have the slightest chance of getting selected in at least one of them but I won't because when I want to join a group I would give my full attention to it & nothing else comes in the way. That is my devotion & willingness to be a part of this & only this group the Specialists.
Where others may see this group recruitment as a way to gain recognition & get a flashy user bar, what I see is an opportunity.
An opportunity to mingle in with the bright minds present within the group.
A chance to share, learn & grow my knowledge.
The best of it all to be friends & be a real group of individuals with a proper agenda & firm mindset.



Something about my skills:

Here's where I might fall behind other members because I'm just too noobish I guess.
More nerdy & less noobish I'll say.
My skills lay in Mathematics & Science which may be the last thing you need from a person in a great group like yours.
I know about many things which some members have already posted.
I have knowledge of coding in Java, C & Basic.
You would only be able to know how much I know by giving me certain tasks & I can assure you something. If that is something which I have no idea about. I'd gladly put my time & energy in learning that & mastering & giving you the thing you want in the quickest time possible.
I have been involved in crypto currency trading for a while.
I usually make my transactions on localbitcoins & justcoin but the only two times I have ever made an exchange at HF has been with Aceman & Morbid.
Other than that I go through each post by sonex & other Specialist members in the monetizing section helpdesk.
Apart from this I answer a lot of questions on Che-g-g, earn points & redeem them for gifcards. That's pretty much my only most trusted way to earn money. I don't get much but $25 for 5 questions seems fair.
I haven't been able to do it quite often now but I get back to it time again as Mathematical questions make me so happy that I can't describe it.

Final Words:

I may not appear to be a very promising guy but appearances can be deceptive.
I already told you what I'll bring along with me if I get selected- devotion, loyalty & my skills.

I'm pretty sure that as a group you have a big ammunition to earn lots of money.
I'd like to contribute too if given the chance.
