Windows 10 - Discussion Thread

Looks really cool, although i´ll stick with windows 7 i think =)

Better File browsing. alt-tab and "windows key"-tab have been improved.

The Bad: Still wants you to use a MS account. Some pre-installed apps ( like skype ) are TERRIBLE. Still has MS store. ( still sucks.)

The Ugly: The multiple desktops feature is weird(I'd personaly prefer it to be more like the linux version). BING!, BING EVERYWHERE!
The search button (next to the start menu) is kinda stupid.

Other notes: The ui changes color with your wallpaper.

I got away without MS account because i installed it with ethernet cable unplugged. It has not re-asked me for ms account. Using skype from my windows 7, works exactly the same as in win7.

Multiple desktops, i just havent used those yet. Kinda need to get used to them.

Bing has been far away from my eyes. Google for the win.

Search button is meh, it would be great if it could be disabled or moved to start menu.
Looks pretty cool, but I'm going to stick to 8.1 until the official release.

Anybody can create a local account without having to disconnect from the internet. The option is kind of hidden, but it is called "sign in without a microsoft account", 8 and 10 both have this same feature.
Well, rest in peace sweet, sweet second drive.

Oh well, thankyou Windows 10 for destroying it. I don't even.
Just. Goodbye drive, I will miss you.
Upgraded my Windows 8.1 with Windows 10 TP. Looking good so far and very stable. I like how it adds subtle shadows to the windows and the 1 px border in window looks cool too.
Wow. This is exactly what Nvidia did with the GTX Graphics Card. They skipped the 800 series and went on to 900. Now we have the Nvidia GTX 980.

But Microsoft had a good reason. XD

It's a huge upgrade from Windows 8 that's for sure, and I believe it will keep Windows 7 user content as well.

Well done Microsoft, you've continued to legacy of amazing OS's after terrible OS's.

faster, more secure, it will also be more stable upon release, snapping, no more metro interface, yeah these are all pretty big. You're just extremely pessimistic. I feel bad for Microsoft having to appeal to idiots such as yourself.

This is a tech preview. It's not even a beta version. This is not meant for the end user. This is for technical people and enthusiasts only.

All the features are not there nor are all the features even officially annouced.

Even when windows 10 comes out its going to be shit just like 8 and since it is a tech preview that guy should have not said all those things.

Faster - invalid
Secure? Well see
Stable? Well see
No metro interface? Are you blind?
pessimistic? Yea
I feel bad for our future because idiots like you don't care about privacy.
Okay, just a heads up for anyone else who might possibly make this mistake. I made two User accounts on Windows 10. One Admin, one with restricted access. I then proceeded to make the admin account hidden via net user command. After i made the account hidden i was unable to do anything on the restricted account. When prompted for the user password for privilages it would ask for a password but it did not have a text box to input the password. I had to restart while holding shift to boot an elevated command prompt which allowed me to reactivate my Admin Account. Just a slight bug.
I have already installed the Technical Preview, It looks like a nice OS.
It's getting closer and closer to having all of the OSX features (every version has more things copied from OSX [or systems alike] and/or other Operating Systems)
