You paid over $1k for..that? I'm sorry but there should be zero circumstances in which you purchase a phone for over $1,000. Obligatory Iphone 6 Plus is a slight waste of money. Good luck with that amazing piece of machine!

It's not a waste of money.
If he has money to blow and purchases something he will enjoy then it's not a waste. I would hate to see what kind of phone you have.

I have an LG G3 which I got for $400. Phone is not only a beast but I got it for pretty much a steal. I'd never spend more than $400 on a phone.
