So, many people create a scam report and wish to show their PM's, so they take a screenshot.
Honestly, that is pretty inefficient, since you have to take a screenshot, and then you could easily just of edited the PM (Inspect Element or whatever you may use).
I think that there should be a way added of showing only your PM's through a [pmid]57843235[/pmid] tag, replaced by the PM ID.
Only you and the sender/recipient will be able to use [pmid] tag for your PM's.
I personally think this is a fantastic idea. It will stop all those accusations of Inspect Elementing PM's and show solid proof of scammers.
Good luck.

There would need to be some security in it, else you could abuse it to see other peoples PMs.
Edit: was mentioned in the thread, i misread it.
How would this work exactly? What if a PM is deleted, but they still have the ID? Will the function still work as the PM is deleted, and say its deleted from both ends, wheres the record then?
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Very good idea, however it might be a bad idea as well :/ The amount of abuse and extra work for staff will probably be much more.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
vouch for this user, knows what he's recommending
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
I think its a great idea but will create more database load, so will mostly get declined.
This idea will probably be denied. Staff can see your PM's and thus they can check If the PM exists or not. It's a decent idea but not that practical.

Thing is, staff rarely if never. I've never seen it happen in the 9 months or so I've been on HackForums.
I like this idea, hope it goes in or maybe switched around for better security.

Staff don't usually get involved in deal disputes. This would allow other users to form a more educated opinion on the matter without staff interference. On the other hand, I could see this being a pain to code and implement, and would probably suffer issues if the PM was deleted or pruned. I can see both sides of the argument here.

I think that there should be a way to prevent people from editing the quote without checking to ensure that it matches the original. It is far too easy to quote a post or PM and then just modify what the person said anyways. Users cannot view your PMs, thus still rendering it impossible to know what the original message was for sure.
Here is why this wouldn't really work.
I see your point, webdev77. I'll wait for a staff member's response, just to see what they has to say.
This is a really good idea and nice thought but staff can see your pms anyway.
