Bitcoin core: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

Once downloaded, encrypt your wallet..make sure you remember the password. And transfer your wallet.dat to a usb drive after use.

If you do not wish to wait for the blockchain to download on the Bitcoin-qt client you could also give Multibit a try. It's not as simple and straight forward but you don't have to wait for the massive blockchain in order to use your funds. I personally use blockchain.info. The reason I use them is because I can set an IP block that I can login from, primary authentication, secondary authentication, and 2FA in order to access my wallet and send coins. This way I know nobody will be able to steal them. 🙂
Any way of making btc profit instead of mining them, or investing (buying them)?

Yeah, you can start doing online services or offline services and accept Bitcoins as payment.
If you already have what you need you dont need investment.

Go to Receive Tab, then click on Request Payment. A new window will pop up with a new address that you can use.
Very nice group you guys got here, I have been so busy working on my crypto currency community I have not had much time to get on here. I guess I got some catching up to do.

It's the same thing as profiting with any other form of currency. However, there are specific opportunities that arise for crypto currency. Many people have made massive fortunes off margin trading on various exchanges. It's difficult but if you learn enough and keep a close enough eye on the market you could profit substantially.

There should be an address automatically generated under the receiving tab. You can generate more as well as give them labels.

Which site would you recommend to rent a miner? BTC, LTC or any other cryptocurrency.

Your options:
Nicehash
Leaserig
Betarigs

I personally use Nicehash for all my rental needs. More often than not you'll face cheaper prices than those set at Betarigs or Leaserigs. Nicehash also charges you by the successful submitted hashes as opposed to the other two websites which work off an estimated hash rate (set by seller) and a price (set by seller). With Nicehash it's as simple as the money goes to the highest bidder and you set your prices.

Nicehash has higher minimum power than the rest but it allows much more flexibility in that you don't need to rent for extended periods of time and can cancel at any time.
