Who are you to critisize someones application? You're not in Phoenix nor do you know what the leaders are looking for in terms of members. Yes, there is an application giving guildlines, however there is a lot more to it. This is a recruitment thread, not a thread meant for singling out individuals and making them feel bad about an application they deemed good enough for recruitment. Please keep any bashing comments off of this thread, ecspecially if you're not even in Phoenix and have no idea how the recruitment process works, not cool man! Not 100% sure what you’re looking for here, guess I’ll just come up with some random properties / skills of mine.
This one is probably going to be really short, I am awful at finding out things about myself.
I feel I have the ability to emphasise with others really well, I often find myself trying to help someone out of their problems despite me having problems of my own that would normally require most of my time. Everyone > Me is what is going through my mind at all times (pretty much). I don’t know if this would make me an autophobic or just very empathetic.
I am dealing with depression at almost all times (but I have had a good couple of weeks right now), so I’d like to think of myself as experienced in the matter, which is why I try helping people out of depression rather than failing in the attempt of fixing myself.
I’m an easy person to speak to, yet not too clingy when it comes to conversations.
I consider myself talented in playing the piano (not as talented as I would like to be though), played since I was 5 on a tiny piano with 3 octaves, and I currently have a keyboard that I play on occasionally.

Which section are you most active in and why?
I’m most active in Instict SF, SRPP, Health Wise, Innuendo, and some gaming sections
I’d like to think that I am pretty clever, hence why I spend my time in SRPP. I also like seeing other people’s opinions in this section.
I work out quite often (up to 7 times a week actually) so I consider myself quite experienced in the "Health Wise" field, hence the activity in the Health Wise SF.
I suppose this is the one you’ll care about though:
I visit the Innuendo section occasionally because I like listening to other people’s problems, and seeing how a lot of people are having it worse than me.
I suffer from what you may know as a bipolar disorder, one week bad, one week good etc. and I like to visit the Innuendo SF on my bad weeks.
I have been pretty good for the past 1-2 months now, so I haven’t really posted much, but I do occasionally visit it to read through it.

Why do you want to join Phoenix?:
I feel I can contribute a lot within the group, having a lot of experience in depression and dealing with different kind of difficult life situations.
I also feel this group might help if I have real life issues of my own, rather then getting bashed on by the countless trollers in the Innuendo section.

How can you contribute to our subforum?
I can contribute through bringing a lot of activity. I have quite a lot of free time on my hands, and I like to spend most of it on Hackforums. I’m currently spending most of my time in the Instinct section (hence I’ve gone from 0 posts in the SF to 1500 in less than 2 months), and I’d like to have a couple more sections to be active in.

I like usergroups especially because I get easily annoyed by the amount of trolling in the actual forum.

In one to three paragraphs, tell us a little bit about yourself personally or possibly something quite memorable that happened in your life, or an explanation of what makes you who you are.:
Three years ago a friend of mine, the best friend of mine at the time, died in a car accident on his way to school. Only 3 months later my uncle, who was also one of my best friends, lost his ability to walk and talk after he fell down the side of a mountain breaking his neck and pretty close to everything else.
This experience was devastating, and it has really opened my eyes on how easy it is to lose someone, yet hard it is to get over them.
I believe that this incident changed me a lot during the three following years, before it happened I was happy all day and all night, staying out with friends and having no problem doing whatever work is required of me, but after I can barely even make new friends in fear that something will happen to them.
I have a nice set of friends right now, and I’m hoping they’ll stay around for at least a couple of years.

I don’t think I’ve ever spoken publicly about this, at least not on this forum.

Where do your priorities in life lie? What is most important to you?
Right now my priorities would be my education and staying healthy.
The most important things in my life are the people surrounding me, I try to keep them safe so that I won’t have to suffer the same thing that I went through in 2011 (Read up.)
I also spend quite a bit of my time with my family, but not even remotely close to as much as I’d like to.


What caused you to stay active and be part of the community on Hackforums after first joining?
I joined in 2012, and came back this year because I had no friends.

I stayed because the community here is fantastic, I can pretty much ask about anything and get the perfect answer only after 3 troll posts.

I was at K-mart one morning and I had just been shopping with friends. I saw a guy collapse right on the ground. I stuck some candy in his mouth, and ended up getting him a coke. Just nice knowing I was able to help someone. (He passed out due to not having any sugar). Honestly it's a great feeling being able to help someone, even if they don't need it.

Where do your priorities in life lie? What is most important to you?: Family is probably most important to me. I always feel like families, friends, and co-workers should come first. Even if you dislike someone you're always able to help them. Simplest of things, can make the biggest impact. You never know what could make someones day.

What caused you to stay active and be part of the community on Hackforums after first joining?: Hard to say. I like some of the community. I'd probably say the fact that I can help answer people's questions, and hopefully make them a member long term aswell. If I were able to keep a handful of members here, just by answering their questions, I think that'd be a great feeling for me overall.

Why do you want to join Phoenix?: I look up to EVERYONE in Phoenix, I dont say that either because I want to kiss your butts. I really liked the synopsis of the group and what they do, to add to this.

In one to three paragraphs, tell us a little bit about yourself personally or possibly something quite memorable that happened in your life, or an explanation of what makes you who you are.: I have to diseases which are both chronic these are both named "Colitis and Crohn's disease". When I lost my grandma and my parents separated I went through severe depression, I threatened to kill myself and wanted to leave the world. I am now mentally and physically stable and excited for my adventures in life. I am a very enthusiastic kid, I listen to what is told and carry out that task.

I have had my up and downs like everyone else. I strive to be the best but people always put me down. I deal with stress and many complications throughout each one of my days on Earth. Mostly I am a very good kid and I like adventuring to places that are a new "space" for me.

What caused you to stay active and be part of the community on Hackforums after first joining? What really made me stay here on HackForums is the Health Section.
