Anyone else experiencing layout errors in Chrome on Android? |

Can I see screenshots of the other pages you say are a problem? I'll see what I can do about it. We validate on almost all pages. So I'd like to see the pages you have issue with.

So I'd like to see the pages you have issue with. It's totally random when it happens, but it happens on nearly every page. It's just random when it happens. Screenshot of example: https://i.imgur.com/kC0nhUx.png Notice the big menu compared to the other screenshot? When I press a link, it scales it down like here: https://i.imgur.com/9jTtKbJ.jpg As you can see, I just pressed View New Posts. Everything has different font sizes. I prefer to have a 100% desktop-like experience, then I can zoom in on the stuff I want to click on. After this new Chrome update on Android, I've been having these issues more and more.

I'm pretty positive that it's supposed to be a "helpful" feature by Google in their latest mobile Chrome releases. It's supposed to scale up the text in an area that you're currently looking at, generally provoked by clicking within that region. I've found it to be useful at times but a bother at others. Not much you can do about it, other than downgrade Chrome, as I don't think it's anything on Hack Forums' end - though it might be. Since HF is mostly text, this scaling feature can be enacted on nearly every page. Tbh, I wouldn't worry about it, but good luck figuring it out.

It's just an inevitable issue when we don't have a mobile version or mobile app 😊 ![]() (Dec 15, 2014 12:03 AM)Oak Wrote: It's just an inevitable issue when we don't have a mobile version or mobile app 😊 Well sure, yeah. Though I don't think a mobile application can replace the functionality of a browser like Chrome. (Dec 15, 2014 12:07 AM)xadamxk Wrote: An App specifically for HF you fool. I know that, but you still get a lot of functionality from Chrome. The app would have to work as a browser, where you can open new tabs, Google stuff, and so on. That's a part of my daily experience on HF, as I sometimes forget stuff. Then I open a new tab and find whatever I need to find. an application won't solve this. At least not for me. I do not believe these functions would be all that hard to implement if one were being coded. Returning to the topic at hand, I'm not sure anything can be done. It's Chrome, imo, not HF. ![]()

I've notice this problem on a few sites, I think its just a chrome bug.
Maybe it gas to do with specific styling problems, cause it only happens on the same few sites for me. |
