Test your RAT Using a Virtual Machine

Intro : I have seen people asking to test a RAT.But to be seriously nobody is going to kill his/her computer.
But there is another way you could test that your RAT works or not.

I am writing this tutorial assuming that you are using Windows OS all links given are only applicable for Windows.

There is another thread for the same subject [Link]. You could see that one also but just take a look at this one too.

Stuffs you'll Need :

1. Virtual Box DownloadDescription (Click to View)VirtualBox is a general-purpose full virtualizer for x86 hardware,desktop and embedded use.In other words,you could run an operating system inside an operating system.VMware could be great alternative but I found Virtual box really easy to use.As this tutorial is Noob friendly I am using Virtual box

2. Windows OS
Description & Link (Click to View)As most of the RATs are made and concentrated on Windows OS You'll need to download its .iso file.I am not encouraging piracy but IF you don't want to buy it download from any torrent site or use this Downlaod .You could use any version of windows according to your computer hardware and requirements of windows.Please Note that requirements are different for VM.
After you download the .iso file burn it to blank DVD there is another way without using DVD I am not gonna mention it in this tutorial but you could find it on Google.

3. A Cup of coffee & lot of time

Getting Ready

+ Installation of Virual Box : Skip this if you know how to do it.Its really Basic by the way
Description (Click to View) I am using the version 4.3.12 of virtual box i think its pretty much outdated but most of the functions are still same.
Start Installation

Please check that every feature is selected.And beware that while installing Virtual box your internet connection will be disconnected for a short time .

After Installation it would look like this

+ Installing Windows : This section contains how to install windows Ultimate 64 bit

1. Click on " New" button on the top left corner.A new virtual drive create wizard will pop-up

2. Give desired name and proceed .

3. Assign How much RAM you want to give to the VM . I recommend you 1000 mb.

4.Then Click "Next" , Then "Create" & again "Next" , "Next" .Now you'll notice that there is small folder icon on the right hand side click on it if you want to change the location of the .vdi file which is your operating system. Assign how much amount of memory you want to give it. Min is 12 GB.

5.Click on create . Now this will close the wizard an you'll back to the main menu.

6. Click on Start on the top of the box.

7. Proceed with installation of Windows.
After you'll done It will look like this

Here is screen of new VM and there is a RAT file "Server.exe"



And I have done this my RAT works ✌




+Note :
Description (Click to View) 1. If you are unable to install 64 bit of Windows please check that hardware acceleration is enabled in your bios
2. If you want look your windows good like in unity or fullscreen mode Go to "Devices > Insert Guest Additions CD Image" and install it.Reboot youe VM
3. Please use only Bridged network adapter on VM.I don't know why but even DarkCoder Sc doesn't know why.



4.Never ever execute your RAT in VM it will never work its really hard to open ports on VM and will never receive signals . Only execute the stub on VM and your RAT on original PC.

Then type your port and check it
