If you are one of those unlucky people who still suffer the completely roasted Sony DNS servers I have a fix!

Tutorial:

Code
Go to your DNS settings and then change them from:
8.8.8.8 or 9.9.9.9 to:
8.8.4.4

So I would make the primary and secondary DNS setting to 8.8.4.4? Seems awkward, but okay. I tried it and so far no success.

Try flushing your DNS if that did not work then look at other methods here

Using Google DNS?

If so, DNS Primary is 8.8.8.8
Secondary is 8.8.4.4

And do some games such as Destiny happen to be free or was it a false claim by LS?

Well I am not sure why for you! The DDoS did fry up the DNS and also the servers and it could be that where you are the servers aren't fixed
