IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD.
I don't know what the budget for the art style of this was, but they need it from now on. The story is a bit different from the first series and thats a good thing.
I love the new direction they've taken with this. I hope to see more of Illya in the second season, as I feel she was a pretty interesting caster in the first series. The noble phantasms are definitely better in terms of art.
I LOVE how they added a much bigger role to caster and her rule breaker role.
Overall this has to be much better than the first series. It's so fleshed out, and good.
I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant; it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.
I agree so far, but if they fully continue with the unlimited blade works route ( what they did in the movie ) it will kind of be a disappointment, they kind of made an 'asspull' type of decision in that movie.
But besides that yeah the animation was sick, also the ending song for the last episode was crazy

I think they want something like unlimited blade works, I don't think it will be exactly like it.

The story will follow the same arc as the movie so I think it's gonna be good.
I actually hate the protagonist, Emiya Shirou but I like Archer.
This arc will cover the story in a better way & I like the role of Rin better in this one.
It just sucked when she was a side character in the first FSN.

I don't particularly dislike Emiya, but he was a badass the first time he conjured up the dual swords

I like his action & fighting style but Man, I hate it when he begins to whine about his ideals & shit.
Just give it a rest already, Emiya we know about your copied ideal thinking.

I don't mind Emiya. He's alright. Do like Archer better though.

Pretty much, even caster was a side character in the original series until like one episode. They better not reduce Illya to a side character in this one.
Emiya wants so bad to be a sacrificial "hero". His stupid ideals are gonna get him killed, technically already have.
