And that's life, gentlemen. Once you're ready to go high, some unfortunate things happen. Example, these bitches want to ruin Omnicoin because it went really high the last couple of days.
Really sorry to hear that Omni, hope everything gets fine really quick. Good luck on getting this fixed with your Dev team.

I'm confused, is it even possible to roll back a day of OMC trades? I just saw a thread saying that might be the case.
I don't know much about crypto-currencies but I didn't even know that can happen

As long as there's a database behind it, it might be possible, yeah.
I haven't messed with crypto-currency a lot either, but based on my knowledge on a few things, it might be possible.
Is there any way to change the OMC in some way that will render the thief's omc useless ?
Just a taught.

I think technically his target was the nearly 2 BTC he withdrew from the sales of his fake OMC he created with the 51% attack. That can't technically be undone. I'll work on a solution with dev team to try and fix the problem and we'll do our best to make the funds whole again for those who lost any.
Thanks for the update on Omni coin!
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
damn this sucks. There's always one jackass to ruin it for everyone else. I really hope you can catch the user(s) involved.
I have no idea how crypto currency works so I'll probably sound like a dumb ass asking this question but was it server related "hack" if you will? As in a database was breached and wallets sent out money or did like a pool fuck up? I have no idea I'm so confused by it all.

I think it's really hard for the pool to actually fuck up, they probably exploited the accounts.

Like I said I have a very little understanding on this. I think I am going to start studying it a lot here soon, seems interesting. I have so many free hours at college so I'll most likely get into it here in the next few weeks.
Damn this sucks but anyone knows this can happen to coins with low network hash rates. Nothing you can do besides increasing the popularity of the coin to prevent something like this from happening. This wouldn't ever happen to BTC/LTC
How would you even fix something like this? I mean, it really does suck. That is a lot of "fake" OMC.
Dev team might want to look into doing a blockchain rollback.

This is what i suggested and they're looking into it. Hopefully this will work.
