DDoSing something, big or not, is not hacking at all. They have a decently sized botnet, it's not very hard to do that when you have as much money and spare time as these guys have.

I seriously, seriously doubt that they jacked the domain themselves. I can almost guarantee that they had help from someone else, what's their IRC? I'm interested to see how they've convinced you to treat them like gods.
