How to make GIFs with After Effects & Photoshop

Rendering to .mov and then importing the video to frames in photoshop works better for me. Less of a drop in quality.

You shouldn't lose any quality going from png to gif.. o_o
But whatever works for you :D

Depends on what's going on in the gif that determinds the quality. Gotta remember that gifs only support 256 colors.
thank you so much for the tutorial, and what is the best site for using photoshop online ? because this program takes a lot of time to install it.

Exactly, he was talking about .mov files instead of png. After Effects renders the pictures as PNGs.. so when they are made into a gif, the quality would drop regardless if it was imported as a .mov or .png
This was useful! Thanks! :3
(I'm new, how do I track this thread?)

Great tutorial bro!!! ;:)
No problem, glad to help yall. :)

As others suggested there's another way to do this. I was gonna add on to this tutorial but my apartment was broken into and my computer and laptop was stolen. So, i'm currently without a computer that's able to make an addition to the original tutorial. I'll update it when I get a new computer and reinstall CS6. :)
Will use OP, thanks :)

I'll post here so people have an idea of the potential. I'm installing photoshop CS6 now :P
Thanks for this tutorial OP.
