This thread will only show you how to use a standalone miner, as i dont know any command-line miner with no window that has no external libraries.
If you need some help setting up this rat, post on my Rat support desk.
Creating an account for slush's pool
1) Navigate to Slush's Website and create an account.
2) Goto the workers page and click "New worker"
3) Dont do anything on this page accept enter "LuminosityMiners" in the login prefix, then press save butt at the bottom of the page.
4) We are done with the website. just copy down the "Worker login name"

Building a miner
Currently this guide will only be using a standalone miner (reasons above). This is a miner that generates a stub output. i will be using "Exodus Miner", but it should apply to all.
1) The first important thing is that you must set the hash type/algorithm/Currency to SHA256 or BTC, depending what one is there (They mean the same thing)
2) pool information. for this section i will be quoting Exodus Miner, but you should be able to find it.
"Pool url": stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333
"Username": the worker login name we wrote down from before
"Password": This can be anything, but you must put something

3) GPU or CPU? BOTH! if your miner wont let you select both, select GPU.
4) Untick startup if option is available
.
5) Proxy? None.
6) if your miner has a "Silent mode" option, i recommend UNTICKING it and testing before sending to your clients. Thats what i will be doing, so keep your builder open.

if we have a loook on the workers page, we will see that my scoring hash rate for "LuminosityMiners" has a value now, this means its working.

7) Now tick "Silent mode" and rebuild, this is our miner.
Intergeneration with LuminosityLink
1) First, we need to goto the CryptoMiner page in luminosityLink and encrypt our silent miner.
![[Image: litrhVr.png]](https://i.imgur.com/litrhVr.png)
So select browse and fild your miner, then press "Encrypt". This should generate a ".files" file.
2) Upload your encrypted miner to a direct download website such as directexe.com
3) The settings
"Miner file download": Your direct download to your encrypted miner (.file).
"Miner file id": This dosent matter, Press the green + besides the box, it should generate a number. (Dont press the + again unless you are upgrading your miner)
"Miner parameters": Leave this blank.

4) you are done. Press the "Start/Stop Miner" button to begin mining on your clients.

You mine crypto-currencies like Bitcion.

So you get Bitcoins for mining? :P
I'm using Luminosity & Miner Crypt and have followed your steps, but the hash rate on bitcoin.cz isn't changing, any ideas?
This will help alot of people! Bookmarked
Thank you very much for this post. I just bought luminosity today.

It takes a couple of minutes, how long did you wait?

This is definitely not the best way to use the Crypto Miner to its full potential.
I really, really need to get around to creating proper documentation regarding the Crypto Miner. Perhaps a program that generates a parameter for you with provided miner files.
It's not that hard to use. It's just the initial startup. It is very effective.

Not only does it take a few minutes, but you also need to acquire a certain hash rate for it to even update.
I may have clicked "Silent mode" and opend it... Lol.
How do I remove it?
Also is it a good idea to Crypt it with a crypter?

But if you're going to add your own miner files, you need to add GPU mining.
