How to Mod on your PS3 OFW. FREE GAMES+MODDED THEMES+AVATARS. Ps3Xport+PeXploit

DOESN'T WORK FOR EDAT PATCHING IN 4.75!

Yes, I do know there is another tutorial although I feel it is too vague and also only has 1 method. This will contain all the methods I feel necessary

Step 1: Methods will be based around PeXploit 1.0. Aqquire a copy of any PeXploit version. I recommend 0.8 or 1.0.
For 0.8: Here
For 1.0:
Here
They do not have a difference apart from 1.0 is more of a CPU hog although has no bugs although its the opposite for 0.8.
I recommend 1.0.

Step 2: Get your Backup of your PS3 on a memory stick/HDD and paste it into your computer.

Step 3: Open PeXploit and in 1.0 click "PeXploit" and if you want to backup your original backup then check the Backup Original. Select your backup location and now you have to download a PKG that you can use that is compatible with the PeXploit program. These are:
http://pastebin.com/fbvcSpFP
You can download these PKG's with this:
Here

Step 3:
Select your USERNUMBER which is determined by which account you want the games to go on. Usually the first User is the one with the 1 in it.
Then Select your IDPS which you should get by the Flatz IDPS Stealer which is included in the release. If you already have your IDPS then put it in the folder. You must be on a firmware less then 4.70 to use the IDPS Stealer. To avoid using IDPS then go to the "Ps3Xport" tutorial which will come soon.
Now Click PATCH and GO and you are done! :P
Enjoy your Games!
All you do now is restore your backup!

Step 1:
Get your backup and paste it into the computer then transfer it into your PS3Xport folder. You can find Ps3Xport Here
Now open your Notepad and then go back to your PS3 folder. In it you should see EXPORT and then a bunch of numbers. Copy them to your notepad.
Now copy this Code:
Code
ps3xport ExtractPSID PS3\EXPORT\BACKUP\XXXXXX psid.bin
but replace the XXX with your numbers that you got.

Step 2:
Now in your PS3Xport folder hold Shift and right click and click open CMD here and paste the code in. The one above. You should now see a file called PSID.BIN.

Step 3:
Now do this code:
Code
ps3xport SetPSID psid.bin ReadIndex PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/XXXXXX/archive.dat > archive.txt
but replace the XXX's with your numbers before.
Now you should see a text folder, look at the numbers, you should see some like
0000001 or 0000003. Choose the one that you thing you play the most on, this should be the one with the most logs.
Paste that 0000001 or whatever you got in notepad. Make sure its YOURS.

Step 4:
Make these folders:
New/dev_hdd0/home/000000XX/exdata/
and put your EDATS in the EXDATA folder. The numbers here are the ones you have in the text folder.
Now run this:
Code
ps3xport SetPSID psid.bin Add PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/XXXXXX New
and your done.

1. You need to backup your PlayStation 3
2. Put the Backup on your PC desktop.
3. Open Ps3Xport
4. Put the "PS3" backup in the extracted Ps3xport folder
5. Open the Command window in the folder (On win 8 do shift+right click)
6. Do this command "ps3xport ExtractPSID PS3\EXPORT\BACKUP\"YOUR PS3 Backup" psid.bin" ( Your PS3 backup name is the thing that is like got a number so its in the export/backup and then that set of random numbers
7. Then do this command "ps3xport SetPSID psid.bin ReadIndex PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/201502141355/archive.dat > archive.txt" although replacing mine with yours
8. In the archive.txt find your User ID. Mine is "0000001"
9. In the PS3Xport folder make these directoires:
New/dev_hdd0/home/0000001/psn_avata

10. Place avatars in psn_avatar folder
11. Do this command "ps3xport SetPSID psid.bin Add PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/201502141355 New"
Of course with YOUR random number not my 201502 crap
12. Restore and enjoy your avatar

You can use MUXPORT for this as well! :)
Although I prefer PS3Xport or PEXPLOIT.

Then post!

Homeedog's Tutorial:

1) Acquire your Console Id. This can be easily done on OFW (for a very limited time) or CFW and must only be done once.

-For CFW users you probably already know your console Id but if not, can be found using Multiman (among many other .pkgs).

-For OFW users for a limited time you can use IDPStealer by developer Flatz (DL can be found here and a video for how to use the tool can be found Here

2) After getting your Console ID, download Kakaroto's tool Here
3) After the download is finished, extract the root folder labeled "ps3xport-win32" and place it wherever you can easily keep track of it.

4) The folder should contain these files
[img]http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k157/jsphsamman/Capture1_zps63823819.jpg[/img]

5) Double clicking on the .exe will not work as it's a binary so we must use Command Prompt.

6) The easiest way to do this would be to Shift+Right Click > Open command window here (may only work on more recent versions of windows, but i could be wrong)

if the Shift+Right Click doesn't work you can always open CMD then manually get the folder's address.
Code:
Code
Example: C:\Users\joseph\Desktop\ps3xport-win32

7) Your command prompt should now look like this (only the end is important, your path is likely different)...
[img]http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k157/jsphsamman/Capture2_zps3f7728a8.jpg[/img]

8) Now make a Backup on your Ps3, since we are adding a Mw2 1.11 Offline patch, it is recommended you format your Ps3's memory (To save time) or if you are installing a Mw2 patch, you must delete it's game data utility.

9) Your backup can be found on your usb/storage device under
Code:
Code
F:\PS3\EXPORT\BACKUP

10) In your ps3xport-win32 folder you downloaded, create a folder named "PS3", in the PS3 folder create another folder named "EXPORT", in the EXPORT folder create a folder named "BACKUP", and finally in the BACKUP folder create a folder named "MyBak". It is extremely important that you name these properly. Here's what it should look like
Code:
Code
ps3xport-win32\PS3\EXPORT\BACKUP\MyBak

11) Now take the 4 files from the Backup folder from your usb (the one under ps3\export\backup and contains 4 .dat files) and copy it to the MyBak folder you just created.

12) Now your ps3xport-win32 folder should look like this..

[img]http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k157/jsphsamman/Capture4_zpsf27f187e.jpg[/img]

13) And your Backup folder should look like this.
[img]http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k157/jsphsamman/Capture5_zps5b831079.jpg[/img]

14)Now in the ps3xport-win32 create another folder and name it "New".

15) Anything in the "New" folder will be added to your ps3's backup by creating a new directory.
For example- if we want to place our MW2 patch_mp.ff in
Code:
Code
dev_hdd0\game\BLUS30377\USRDIR

then our directory would look like
Code
ps3xport-win32\New\dev_hdd0\game\BLUS30377\USRDIR

16) So for my personal mw2 patch it would go under
Code
ps3xport-win32\New\dev_hdd0\game\BLUS30377\USRDIR

17) Now this is where i told you that only some of the program's functions are working... So as of now i will be only educating you on the AddProtected command.

18) Now, with the .bin file you got earlier from IDPStealer, place it directly in ps3xport-win32 and rename it idps.bin if it isn't already.

19) Now we need to get our PSID. Hopefully you still have the console open, if not go back to step 6 and then go on to step 20

20) in the console enter the following
Code:
Code
ps3xport ExtractPSID PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/MyBak psid.bin

this should add a file named psid.bin to your ps3xport-win32 folder.

21) Now to add the directories and files in the "New" folder to your backup, enter the following...
Code:
Code
ps3xport SetPSID psid.bin SetDeviceID idps.bin AddProtected PS3/EXPORT/BACKUP/MyBak New

22) If everything goes properly, replace the 4 .dat files under
Code
ps3xport-win32\PS3\EXPORT\BACKUP\MyBak

Credits for this Tut to homeedog for this particular Ps3Xport tut.
Is a 3gb usb enough for the backup?
Nice video mate ! here is a tutorial i've created about how to install GTA 5 mod menu without jailbreak : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uITJ1fkqcp0
Install games on OFW xD?
Dude did you even try it
Reason:
PS3 only supports fat/fat32
Fat32/fat only support files up to 4GB
Backups with games are usually bigger than 4gb

you can use windows applications like easeus to format any storage to fat32 or whatever. i formated my external hard drive 250gb to fat32 :)

Yes I know, but you cannot have any FILE over 4GB on the hard drive
Games are usually 4GB or bigger
Adding onto the size of the backup, meaning it cant be done

that is right but ps3 backup files are less than 4gb (archive.dat) . a ps3 backup contains more than 1 archive.dat

You inject the games into the one file, PS3Xploit or whatever uses one file, not many which needs to be splitted as far as I know
You dont use all filles

As NestiALB has already said, the PS3 itself splits its data into different archives. Archive 1, 2 etc.
These are all 4GB big, PeXploit (Not Ps3xport) does this for you.
Please Mr RekkiBoobsAndGrabbinBoobs "You try it".
If you do not know if your fact works then stop trying to argue on others correct facts. 🤝
I Never knew of this, can i do it on a Super Slim?

Yes you can, that is where we devolved this idea from. 🤝
Have you tried to use pexploit to install mod menu for gta V ?
(May 29, 2015 07:10 AM)NestiALB Wrote:  Have you tried to use pexploit to install mod menu for gta V ?
I have never personally modded GTA V with this exploit although I know some people who have done the MM in GTA V singleplayer. Just search some up and use PeXploit 0.8 Advanced Window or use PS3Xport.
