Boost Windows O/S & Network Performance Hello HackForums Members
I have created a program called SysPerf that will speed up Windows Operating Systems (OS) and broadband network connections.
This program has been tested by me multiple times to make sure it will not cause any errors and problems with Windows OS and network connections but to make sure everything's safe, I also use the ERUNT.EXE utility to backup your Registry, just in case you want to restore Windows OS to its default settings.
This program is made in Batch, and I had to convert to executable because I have to use third party utilities like pagedfrg.exe, etc. in it.
You can view the executable file content if you want all you need to do is to execute the SysPerf program and open the TEMP (C:\Users\$USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp) directory, one of the subdirectory in TEMP directory holds content of the SysPerf program.
I suggest you to run the SysPerf program with no program open at all (everything close), this way SysPerf will work better to boost Windows OS performance (by making a more accurate diagnostic).
Do not close SysPerf even if it looks stucks, frozen or not responsive. It does not get stuck even thought the output of the SysPerf program sometimes stay static for long period of time, it's still working in the background.
The process can take up to 10 minutes or more to complete, it depends on your hard drive current fragmentation level.
Please execute SysPerf_x64.exe if you're using a 64-bits version of the Windows OS.
System Requirements:
Windows XP with Service Pack 3
Windows Vista
Windows 7
Windows 8
Windows 8.1
Windows 10
VirusTotal Scan Results:
SysPerf_x64.exe
SysPerf.exe
SysPerf.zip
Note: The SysPerf.exe executable program have the same content as the SysPerf_x64.exe program but for some reason, a few unknown Antivirus programs thinks that it's a Trojan-based malware. These are what we call false positives. I can confidently say to you its not a virus if needed I can let any person view the Batch Script and utilities used to create SysPerf. They can also reverse engineer it if they want (since it's written in Batch, it shouldn't be complicated at all).

Please post any questions that you might have about the tool, and I will do my best to answer them. Thank you 🤝

Greetings,
I had some spare time today so I thought I'd put together a little bit of before and after analysis. Nothing super professional or thorough, just to see what results come out and to show so people know what to expect. I used a Windows 7 x86 VM (1 core / 1 GB RAM / 25 GB HDD) the usual.
Overall, I think it's nice little program. Simple to use and it goes through many avenues for cleaning up an install. If used on despite computer, it sure should help. The things I didn't entertain as much would be there aren't enough prompts for user input. Although there are many where critical. I just felt like many processes were executing without acknowledgment. Also perhaps an option to skip a certain feature or scan would be better than 'yes or exit.' I personally don't like removing event logs. Something off putting about .bats compiled as .exes.

Well I really feel bad for switching over to Korora (Linux), well I may just have to test this in a VM to see how good it is.
I can initially vouch that Freebooter does indeed know what he is doing, good job!
Nice job @Freebooter ! Thank you for sharing this. Very handy.
Thank you all for supporting me and my program, i'm happy to know my program boost performance of your PC's.
@datguy.dev my program does not give or drop ISP broadband speed my program speedup download speed if internet download manager used can download from multiple servers. My program tweaks TCP/IP protocol to handle multiple connections this can speedup download from Peer-to-peer file sharing service or server.
Just tested this, works like a charm.
Running this on my laptop, right now it's at the "Pre-Optimization report" and it's been like that for about 15 minutes.

Don't worry program is defragmenting your hard disk drive the time of completing the defragmentation depends on how much hard disk drive fragmented.

Yeah, it went blue, then it did a few other things and asked me to rebooted.

If you have not reboot the computer you should or some of the performance tweaks wont work without rebooting the computer.
