I found an interesting failure of task manager today. The network usage on the Processes tab of task manager shows 0% network use while the Performance tab shows network activity happening.
Can anyone else replicate this behavior?
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Bastille I assume you are one of the members I think of when seeing this. Do you know what's up or did you had the same, for example?

but in performance only the wifi changes. I guess to indicate the packets to the router/etc?
Internet graph is 0% too.
can u show a gif of whachu mean?
The column remains static at 0% regardless of actual usage. The plot on the performance tab shows what I believe is the actual usage.

To be clear here, several of these processes are using internet. I loaded a youtube video to get the pulses seen here and my browser process still shows 0% on the Processes tab.

Mine does the exact same thing, I am 100% sure that I don't have malware on this machine, so I'm assuming it's something to do with a Windows Update fuck-up or CCleaner deleting something it shouldn't have.

I don't use CCleaner or similar and am also fairly confident I have no malicious software. I think this is just a Windows bug but want to confirm.

Almost 100% sure it is, I'm on my "work machine" right now where I don't have any games or weird software installed. I have CCleaner, Visual Studio, Malwarebytes, Microsoft Edge, Photoshop, Premier Pro, Fiddler, and a few other programs that I am 100% confident aren't malware and I have the same issue.
I'm on Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362

I use BleachBit now.

also consider using actual AV instead of malwarebytes if you really are paranoid about viruses and malware.
Running:
Windows 10 Pro
V: 1909
OS Build: 18363.720
I don’t plan using CCleaner or Malwarebytes soon.
My new SSD comes in the mail on Saturday and I’m going “clean” after that.

I finally tracked down the problem and it is attributed to Windows updates not cleaning things up properly. The Network Data Usage Monitoring Driver was stopped and never restarted.
To enable (admin cmd):
Code sc config ndu start=auto
