To Group Owners

If you want to sell your group, try to not drive the price into the ground like the owners before us. Groups are worth a lot, and they will sell for a lot more than $7k like everybody else seems to think.

Don't sell when others are selling. An overflow of the market doesn't end well and you'll be competing for best offer which drives the price down the more you try to do this.

Don't tell people who offer to buy your group that the price is less than $10k. Start at the highest they've sold for and try to work them up. Personally wouldn't sell mine for less than $9k if I was even looking to sell.

Patience is key because if you can't wait, you'll take the first horrible offer of $6k-$7k and the price will just drop in the publics eyes.

Hold your ground because the owners decide the price. It's just a matter of finding the right combination of money and approval with somebody who is wanting to own a group. If you guys set the norm at $9k, people will say groups cost $9k.

I've been asked about the prices of groups by other owners, leaders, people interested in buying, and people who are just curious to know about the "economy" or "value" of groups. So that's how it is folks. Vinnie selling his groups at $9k is a prime example of owners making the price higher and making the price they want the norm.

Patience is what I think you mean. I don't think your patients hold any keys, unless they are stuck inside their throat or something.
Is it buy one 1 get 1 free promotion? Ty vouch works.

Is vinnie offering a buy one get one free by any chance?

Nice thread though, don't know why anyone would spend that much on an online forum though.

No sorry that promotion ended one post ago. You're too late. But secretly I give you an extra copy of you ask anyways... I just say it's special to make more money.

I heard he was if you pay the full price of $18k for Instinct. Unfortunately if you buy Null first the offer doesn't count but it's only $9k for Null. Of course then you'll need to pay ANOTHER $9k for Instinct.

Groups can be used to make a lot of money if you really wanted to. They also open up opportunities to meet people who for some reason want to give you things for free a lot lol.

So are you saying that arbitrarily inflating the prices of groups to alienate even more users from attempting to start their own is the way to go? Because that's what I'm reading. The prices for groups are stable at between $8,000-$10,000. Two groups are currently on the market for $9,000 (Null and Instinct). Debug is being sold to its new owner for $8,000. It's a far cry from the $2,000 that I remember because of the demand for new groups, but that does not mean the price should increase indefinitely. The price will crash if it goes up too high. Keep the prices at somewhere in the same range and everything will be fine.

How much money did Judge Dredd get from Infamous? $12k?

Not sure. That sounds about right, though. I'm not opposed to users selling their groups for that much once in a blue moon, but if everyone sells their groups for >$10k then that's what their price stays at. I'm nervous for the escalation of group prices. What's the ceiling of prices? When will we hit it?

I think group owners want quick money and they don't want to wait for price they want (as Realizm said) and that is why they are selling for lower prices (..than usual).
Nice job sharing your opinion on this but I don't know if it will change anything sometimes people need the money ASAP, but nice dude^^

How significantly have (in the past) prices that group owners wanted for their group varied from what they actually sold it for? What's the disparity?
