Hi, Sorry for posting in the wrong section.
I've been trying to reinstall or download windows updates for a long time now, but I keep failing.
My conclusions are :
My files are probably corrupted, but I cant run a dism.exe or sfc scannow.
This happened after doing a other reinstall that I had to do, the first reinstall probably caused this.
Any fix?
I dont have a cd for windows 8.1, and I am using a legimate version.
You should be able to reset the whole os. win8 has that feature and it will blank drive and totally reinstall the os. Hope this helps ya. if ya can't get it hmu in pm I'll help you.
Maybe try system restore.
When you boot, in the Windows boot menu select format or something like this. Or refresh. It doesn't really works but worth a try.

System restore does not work either, I will try Hash G's method soon.
It is possible that ISO you have used was corrupt. It seems to a common reason these days. Get an alternative ISO and start with a clean install.

ISO?
This laptop is 2 months old, and had windows 8.1 preinstalled.
It does not matter how old the laptop is... It is obvious that the OS was corrupted. And seems that recovery partition was damaged as well.

Rip, I only reinstalled it once damn.
Do you remember what caused corruption of the OS?

At the logon screen are you able to:
1) Hold the shift key down
2) While holding the key down, restart the system.
3) It should take you, to a screen with some options to restore and so forth.

Alright, I will try it out.
And the reinstall probably caused this.
