Require 2FA to post in currency exchange.

I think we should require 2FA to post in currency exchange.

I have seen at least 3 stolen accounts and they all go over to currency exchange section and the account ends up getting closed with someone at loss most of the time.
Sure they could just enable 2FA then post but that's why we have rep and trust scan. Compare the dates etc.

Should require 2FA to even use the forum :p

That is a very good idea, but I doubt they will add it.

I wish they did add this I'm sick of people getting scammed.
It should be require 2FA in order to pm and post on the currency section. Just to add you must also have had 2FA on for a while before this is lifted.
I just don't understand why an Ub3r that has a trusted account wouldn't have 2FA? I mean if someone key logs your password and you don't have it enabled you could potentially put another mans money at risk.

Yeah I agree that this should be implemented.

Well omni once said something about requiring 2FA to post in market place.

Not sure if or when he plans on adding it in. Just posting this to see what he says about currency exchange or hopefully the whole marketplace.

Mosty currency exchange. Its a high risk area.

Not sure about the PM and the wait.
How about requiring 2fa to post in the marketplace in general?

If you lose your account without having the 2FA feature enabled you will not be able to recover your account. This applies only for Ub3r and 3p1c members as of now.

That would defeat the purpose of 2FA.

2FA is to prevent stolen accounts, Which stolen accounts normally end up scamming.

I understand Ub3r and 3p1c users have it and not everyone else. Well. Even then. Just have the UB3R and 3P1C users who are required to enable it.

Especially UB3R accounts since everyone thinks they are so trusted. Those accounts end up getting jacked and other people end up being scammed due to this.

That would be nice for sure :)
This is a good idea. It's like requiring reputation to post in the marketplace. To be more secured, require 2FA.
I support this. You can't post a thread in Currency Exchange without being ub3r anyways so needing 2FA wouldn't limit it much more. While yes, a hacker could easily hack the account then enable 2FA, users who have exchanging history(more likely to be used) will already have it enabled, it wouldn't make it any EASIER than it is now, and admins can still see the change in IPs and other determining factors when it comes to recovering the account.

I agree, but I'd prefer it if they had to have had 2FA activated for at least one week before being able to post there, instead of some hacker instantly adding 2FA to their account and scamming in the Currency Exchange forum.
Don't use 2FA and if I wanted to use the Currency Exchange section I'd need 2FA to post? No thanks. Most of the time people use that as an excuse anyway just to scam people and "attempt" to get away with it.

How exactly do people use 2FA as a way to try and scam people? That literally makes zero sense.
I don't see why someone wouldn't use 2FA. I use it on everything. It takes a few extra seconds out of your life, not a big deal.
