Find damaged PC parts

Hey guys, apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I have a PC which some guy built for me a year or 2 ago when I knew nothing about PC parts, I have an Intel i3, Nvidia 550ti, 8gb of ram (Only 3 useable) and a foxconn motherboard.

I realized a few months after buying the PC that I basically got scammed and now the PC is gaining some age its starting to slow down and break a little.

I know my power supply needs replacing but I was wondering if there was a program which could tell me if I have damaged parts or if anyone could help me on making it run faster or replacing my core without it costing a ton as I was told any core higher than i3 wont work with my mother board.

I have all the boxes still so I can get exact information, thanks!

"foxconn motherboard"
This means absolutely nothing.

Basically 99% of electronics is made there.

I was just vaguely saying what parts I have as I didn't ask for specific help but like I said if someone wants to help me I can list the exact names.
