My real life friend was asking me the other day to advise him on how he can make some money that he can use for online investments and I thought for a while and told him to set up a local business offering to remove virus's from people's PC's.

The business was launched 4 days ago and he's already had 6 clients who have each paid him £50 to fix their computers. That's £300 in 4 days, just from a Facebook page to advertise on, no SEO or anything. Thought I'd share this here because any guy can remove virus's. If you can't, look it up, it's pretty easy. He could probably get some PPI going on too.

haha, reminds me when my parents paid $150 on two separate occasions to Rogers (A big media/communication company) to remove some sort of virus they had on their computers. On the second time they paid $350 which included the virus removal and a exclusive anti-virus software for 2 years. It ended up being malwarebytes premium , but honestly my parents did not mind thinking that they got a good deal..

Anyways good job to you and your friend. Starting up something like this could be hard for some people :)

This could potentially work. I do this all the time for friends, people than I know, friends of friends for free.

Like at least 5 each month, if I was proactively looking for small gigs then yea, I'd have dozens and dozens and they'd even pay me for the gigs.

They want to pay me all the time but I just refuse the payment and smile since life is hard, especially on my country and I have it easy since I have my online income while they are certainly in a worse situation than me and a good action at the end of the day is always appreciated and will get back at you.

Thanks for sharing OP, some people could've not known this. This applies to virus removal, hardware problems, laptop broken screen replacement, same for phones, virtually anything you can think of.

This works, i 95% of the time people ask to reinstall an os since they can't do it themselfs (install drivers,antivirus etc)
i charged 30$ for a clean install,40$ for a clean install with eset nod32 installed with the key, yeah i know i'm a prick but i got really good profit
