But you are acting like this is ground breaking stuff. Its old, very old and that's why its the job of engineers.

I never said it's new, just that it's not mundane.

Mundane:
2. Relating to, characteristic of, or concerned with commonplaces; ordinary.
1. everyday, ordinary, or banal
Its mundane.

That makes no sense, the age of the task determines whether it's an engineers work or not, or am I reading this incorrectly? ❓
Who cares whether it's ground breaking work or not? Please explain how this is even relevant to the initial topic? Can you write, or do you understand a bootloader? Let me know what language you choose...

Writing a bootloader is 'normal'? In what way, and why do you define it as 'ordinary'? lol

I bet like 0.0000001% of developers have ever written or modified a bootloader

You know this could be implemented in c with just a couple of lines.
Code SOCKET Socket = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, IPPROTO_TCP);
SOCKADDR_IN Address = {};
Address.sin_family = AF_INET;
Address.sin_addr.s_addr = inet_addr("GOOGLE IP");
Address.sin_port = htons(80);
connect(Socket, (SOCKADDR *)&Address, sizeof(Address)) == SOCKET_ERROR)
char Request[] = "GET / HTTP/1.1\r\n"
"Host: google.com\r\n"
"User-Agent: your mom\r\n"
"Accept: text/html\r\n"
"Connection: keep-alive\r\n"
"\r\n";
char Response[1000] = {};
send(Socket, Request, strlen(Request), 0)
recv(Socket, Response, strlen(Response), 0);

Only a couple multiplied by 10, and that's for a very minimal Winsock example too. This leaves out all error checking, doesn't check to see that all of the data is read either, among other things.

No. If its already been figured out(the heavy lifting is done) then its an engineers task to use it.

Huh? Engineers are essentially inventors and designers; creativity and innovation. Can you be more explicit with your response? "it"?

I wonder how many programmers have written a significant programming language? One which pushes the current language boundaries.
C/C++ is for programs that are ran on your computer, AKA software, not at all the same for web languages.

Let me put it in words that you can understand.
Engineers are the ones with dirt under their fingernails and scientist are the ones with beautiful minds.

Yeah I know, but now implement send and recv and everything they call. That's what I'm talking about
And implement TCP and IP and Ethernet
All I'm saying is the massive quantity of stuff most people ignore is just enormous
This topic almost has become a joke.... TIL that engineers aren't scientists, CS students know nothing of the low level (oh no we don't take any ASM or hardware/PIC classes... wait, fuck we do), examples are very hard for some, people still don't understand servers are computers, scientists are God's gift and engineers are meant to till the soil. K.

This is literally a sad reality of the world we live in.
