how to logout of old nintendo id so i can watch youtube videos on 3ds

im trying to watch a video youtube on my 3ds that i bought from my boy who set up an account on there before he sold it to me but for some reason it sends me to the app store and asks me to enter his password which i dont know and the only other options i have are quit and i forgot which tells me to go to system settings and reset the password and when i do that it only lets me send a temporary password to his email which i dont even know. is there any form of software or hardware related hack that can reset this 3ds to factory settings? money isnt an issue for me; im willing to spend as much money as necessary to fix this problem. any and all help is much appreciated :)

oh and i forgot to mention i have the new 3ds xl running system os version 9.9.0-26U

That's probably the best way to never see it again.

Why don't you contact the guy and get the temp password?

but still, thats not the point. im trying to fix this 3ds i got and i dont know what to do. i spent a lot of money on this 3ds i really dont wanna go through the hassle of selling it and getting a new one, and not even that will guarantee the problem as the new one i get could just have another account on it

i get why nintendo does this. its called playing businessmen instead of game developers. they want me to buy a brand new console so that they make more money producing more 3ds devices

*meant device not console
Can't you find an option to log in using another account or log out of his current one?
I can't imagine there not being such a button.

i tried looking around in the nintendo network id settings in the system settings, and i was lead to a screen where it shows the old account, and on the bottom screen it says sign in and i forgot. when i hit sign in, it asks me to enter the password for the old account, but when i hit i forgot it asks if i want it to send a temporary password to the email address associated with the old account, which i dont have access to, let alone know the name of.

i contacted nintendo support and they said that the only non-hacking way to fix this problem is to answer all the security details from the old account, which im not up to speed on

Then you'll need to get into contact with the previous owner of the 3ds.
