I want someone to tell me when they see something like that that they think it's a clock. Especially if you're an English teacher and you hear that device beeping in class, in a school full of students. It was the right thing for the teacher to call for police in my opinion.
I find it hilarious that since it turned out to be a clock everyone is supporting Muslims for no reason all of a sudden. Muslim is just like Christianity, Buddhism, etc. They are all religions. If his name was John Smith, a Catholic, and he was as white as snow I'd still the cops on his ass because it's better to be safe than sorry; I wouldn't want to see another news story about 20 dead in a bombing. In fact, people assuming that he was arrested JUST BECAUSE HE'S A MUSLIM are being ignorant racists themselves.

I'm not saying the police handled the situation correctly all the way through but I am saying that I don't think all the blame should be placed on them, and that the school did handle the situation correctly.

Yes, I know it's a clock. It doesn't even have any explosives attached to it.
But you can't tell me it doesn't look suspicious after a quick inspection.
And you can't tell me that everyone should learn about electronics, because most people won't.

After a quick inspection it doesn't look suspicious at all, unless you have 5mg's of explosives in a wire that will make a small poof and make the school bully think he farted. I don't see any explosive material inside or around it.
