I know you guys don't really like SAO, but a movie is coming out so

-There was an idea to once again reboot the Aincrad arc from the first floor, but due to concerns about whether that's what the audience wanted to see, it was decided to continue the story after the Mother's Rosario arc
So pretty much the Alicization arc is guaranteed to be adapted after the movie, and A-1 considered the best idea in the anime franchise's history, but rejected it. I would gladly take a reboot to fix the mistakes A-1 has made the past two seasons over another badly-adapted continuation.

I loved the entire anime. Can't wait for this.
i watched season 1, 2 and the movie. I don't like this anime at all and i have given it WAY too many chances to redeem itself and has not. the first half of season 1 WAS AMAZING don't get me wrong but the other half and season 2 . . . the tried to milk it
and i now have no respect for aniplex as a whole now so...

You can't blame them for milking, they probably didn't know it was gonna be so popular and planned on cutting it off at season one, but the paper was rolling in. I personally wished they stopped at season 1 because the story felt so forced that I couldn't watch more than 15 minutes

I am actually hyped, I'm not a huge fan but I know it will be atleast entertaining.
The show was alright but I really only enjoyed the Mothers Rosario and SAO arcs.
If the movie focuses on KiritoxAsuna i'll enjoy it, but it could go either way.
