Alright, open Steam, click on the Steam text in the upper-left corner, go to settings, and then Voice. Make sure the "Recording (audio input) device is the correct device you are using for your microphone audio, if not, click the "Change device..." next to it, and click on your microphone and use it as standard
EDIT: Nevermind, didn't notice that it worked in steam, right click on CS:GO in your library, go to properties, Local Files, then browse local files, then open the cfg folder, then go into the config.cfg file, find the voice_mixer_mute and make sure it's 0.
Then find the voice_mixer_volume and make sure it's the correct value. (The one you use in Windows)

The value you have when you click on sound devices and double click your microphone.

Have you selected your mic here?
My mic isn't working at all either. No clue why but some guy told me it had to do with my Nvidia card?

I have an nvidia card too, can someone put some light on this issue??
OP,
I once had this problem it's an easy fix.
First right click your volume button at the bottom right of your screen.
Second click Recording Devices.
Third make sure the mic you choose is set as default then try and setup mic in game.
(If this doesn't work disable all other recording devices besides the one you want to work on CS)
Fixed my problem and many of my friends hopefully it helps you! :)
