Hey, I opened my own Forum and I need some suggestions for it.
This is my first Forum and I know I wont get a big community but maybe some of you will post there and maybe tell me what can be better.

Alright, let me help you out.

First of all, maybe purchase a .com / .net, whatever paid domain name instead of using a free domain since it will help a lot.
And also, think of a name that will be attractive for people and has not been used before. Try not to include Forums or Forum or Community, whatever in your name. Just think of 1 word.

Then, get a custom theme, which you can order on http://flatink.com/
And also install plugins for MyBB, which you can download on the following sites:
http://community.mybb.com/mods.php
http://mods.mybb.com/mods
http://community.mybb.com/forum-102.html
http://www.mybbstuff.com/forum-7.html
And of course there are tons of more plugins websites, but okay.
You can also purchase premium plugins somewhere on different websites.

Now, try to think about what your forum will be about and what is attractive for people to join.
Think also about something original, don't look at other forums for what they have.
Try out tons of stuff with it.

Also, if you don't know how MyBB works, how to change stuff, etc. Then maybe it is time for you to learn how MyBB works.

1. Maybe download MyAwards plugin, people like it.
2. Add upgrades with a upgrade page.
3. Let people be able to purchase usergroups.
4. Try your own stuff out and play around with MyBB.
5. Get nice, friendly staff that have knowledge of forums.
6. Install Cloudflare ;)
